  1. The reason I asked is that I was hoping people who actually live in NYC could give me a lil' insight. I know I asked for a list, and those provided along with Club Planet's front page are helpful. However, those lists don't exactly tell me if a club is any good. Basing how good a venue actually is on the DJs it brings in doesn't necessarily do it justice. For example, in Chicago Sound-Bar brings in great talent as far as DJs, but the club is horrible, IMO. The layout, the crowd it attacts, and even the employees do nothing for me. The place has no vibe to be honest. Lucky13 was helpful in letting me know Cielo is a good bet on Monday and Wednesday. I guess I'm looking for venues with local DJs that out-of-towners really know nothing about, but who (for lack of a better term at the moment) bang it out.
  2. I'm looking to visit the Big Apple sometime this spring, and was hoping you could provide a good/comprehensive list of clubs, lounges, and, I guess, bars I should check while there. Even providing me a link to a great list would be greatly appreciated. My wife and I plan on being there for a full week (celebrating my 30th birthday with friends joining us later in the week), and we would like to know what's good on what nights, etc. Granted, we don't plan on going out every night, but knowing what's good throughout the week will help us plan accordingly. Friday-Sunday are a given as far as going out. I'm aware of Pacha, Crobar, Avalon, etc., but I'm looking for a list of smaller/hidden venues which out-of-towners aren't necessarily aware of.
