This party is ours ! Ok I didnt start this thread and I am simply replying to it. We initially came up with an idea to have an Nightclub Industry Party on a night when most people are off. This party was not to make money directly. It was a promotion for our magazine..Basically similar to a sponsored event. If we made money great. For some reason people are critical of that..Anyway we had a decent turnout last week around 400 and we are looking to build from there. My good friend Jason Priestley came down Al Santos from Grosse Point , Playboy cover girl Christi Shake(you can see her at Playboy.com ) and a penthouse pet all were there.. Valentines day should be good also.. ooana i dont know why you have such distaste for me and are usually very critical , this is my job and I try to do it well..Would it be that horrible if the city had a really good wednesday night. I hope we meet one day and you can explain it all to me. If you would like to come tonight I will comp you and a guest and I will personally make sure you dont pay for a drink.. Ok listen if someone has a shot that they think should be on the cover I will present to the powers that be. If it is a keeper you will get full credit and a keepsake for all time... Brandie , well said. Are you after my job :-) PR is tough work sure you want it... If the industry people start shooting at each other then we arent safe at any club... Any modern club is more like its own seperate club night to night. For instance many of the clubs you go to now have a gay night sometime during the week, does that mean you are gay if you go there on another night. That is how these clubs survive, people wont go to the same club in the same week so you have to have different themes on different nights so the club can have people in it and deal with the high cost of doing business in the city. The fact is we could have done this party at any club in NYC ( lots of of places available on Wednesday) we chose Cheetah ! Eric runs a first clas operation and the people that work there are one of the most professional crews I have has the honor to know. Thats how I feel .. There was a reason we did this before we printed 50,000 + and we appreciate all the input...I surely see some of your points... but like I said, regardless give the inside a fair shake if you like...Thanks Chasey

NU will be a nightclub dedicated magazine first! We do have Vinyl and club reviews! The main attraction that we are dwelling on is to make the nightclub experience in NY the best it possibly can be..We will encompass the full spectrum of clubs from the deep deep underground to the largest and busiest clubs. There will be something for everyone in NU and we listen. Have a great nightclub experience send it to us and we will print it.We are trying to have the magazine speak to the club goer from a peer stand point.As opposed to a know it all Club Judge who thinks their opinions are the only ones that matter. Every month we have 4-5 average club goers tell us about their club experiences over the last month. Thanks so much for the input... The fact is since the magazine is free and and there are only 50,000 copies for the 15,000,000 + people in the NYC club going area, all the mags go regardless... I would agree if it was an economic decision most women would not bye it! The idea is it just to catch the eye, that it obviously does and keep in mind its 4 x 6 inches large.. it fits perfect in a back pocket and after all people we are targeting adults... and the type of adults we do target are club people who by nature are much less conservative then most. Jenny your point about Cosmo is right on and they target teenage girls to young women as well... Thanks Chasey

If you are taking a woman to EXIT on a date type thing, you'll have a horrible time... It's like a meat market. Guys grabbing asses, guidos starting fights left and right, and just about the worse bouncers in NYC equals a very dangerous nightclub. You're better off going to Limelight in my opinion... My 2 cents...

These are the featured producer/DJs that will be in the February issue of NIGHTLIFE UNDERGROUND... So far, the March lineup consists of JARK PRONGO, FRANKY FELICIANO, DANNY TENAGLIA, STRICTLY RHYTHM, and MORE... March will be the WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE issue, so it will be distributed in both MIAMI and in NYC... ooana - fair enough... But don't judge a book by its cover! Maxim does have women on the cover but its full of great info useful for both sexes... Besides Nightlife Underground is FREE! This is not a new concept look at any major magazine; plenty of sexy women on all of them...whether they cater to men or women... So when you do see the mag out at a club or record store and you don't pick it up I do understand, but your only hurting yourself... Lots of club info and listings, great articles and free admissions to name a few things... So give it a shot and I guarantee you don't throw it away! Love Chasey
