  1. OK Webster Hall on Saturday it is. Pacha Friday.... How about Thursday 24th, where's a good place to chill and see NYs finest ladies, I want to mingle, boogie and chat....
  2. Or perhaps giving me advice on the best way to spend the weekend? How about Cielo <<---- hopefully spelt correctly, is this a good place on a Saturday night, or perhaps Webster Hall? I think I am in Pacha on Friday...
  3. Firstly I oppologise if I have offended anyone, that was not my intention at all. I certainly didn't think the phrase 'black music' would upset anyone as it's a term used over here in europe all the time. When I refer to this music (dare not say it again), I refer to Rap, bump and grind etc. etc. certainly not the people who go to clubs but the people who make the music. Whilst I have every respect for these artists and the style of music, it's not my thing just like trance isn't some of yours! House music is fine and I know there's a wealth of black artists. I just feel some people here have made the post to be a race issue when it's not, nor in anyway meant to be. Maybe in the UK we don't take the race issues to heart and except black people like 'white music' and vice versa. There are certainly some clubs in London where they are proud to say (not saying it) and advertise the fact.. Just wanted some advice! but hey discussion is good....
  4. Is trance dead in NYC? In europe it's still going strong with Armin and Tiesto on the club scene. OK so no trance, where can I go where they don't play rap and 'black music' all night. I wanna go out and dance, bit of high energy stuff. What's the new in place? I loved Crowbar, gonna miss not being able to go there....
  5. Hi, I am coming over to NYC on 23rd April for 4 nights and want to spend the time in the best bars and clubs. Last time I got to see Gabs & dresden at Pacha, And Victor in Crowbar. Now Crowbar has gone, where should I go? Been to Webster hall in the past and Limelight but where else is there. I'm from London and love progressive trance, DJs Tiesto, Above and Beyon, Rank 1, Armin, PVD etc.. I want to make this trip a big one so I need your help. I believe there's a made event on 25th Pacha, Vander? Argghh all this talk of electro and Tribal in NYC is getting me down!!!! Lossy
  6. Bella, You are not so bad looking yourself........... I.e. You are a hottie!
  7. Hey! Hey! Thanks for the reply! Yes they were two totally different nights, I think I was expecting a bit more of a mashed up night at Crowbar. The bass was so thumping everything just sounded the same..... The reason why it might of sounded like their were lots of english their was because me and my friend were all over the club! We felt like the only English their and certainly didn't meet any others! Clubbing in America is soooooo different to europe! I must of got asked if I had "any pills" 30 times at Pacha. I don't think i look like a dealer, but am beggining to wonder (maybe thats the english in me). Also talking to girls in america is easy, you are all so beautiful. I think that americans are happiest on their own soil, when I meet americans in europe they are different, or maybe New Yorkers are different? Well I have been back in the UK 8hrs now after my flight and I already miss my favourite city.. Roll on 2007, and kisses go out to all the absolutely gorgeous girls of Crowbar (especially the girl that serves in the main room by the tunnel and danced on the bar at about 6.30am) she was a total babe! 8. Hi, I was in NY from the UK for both events and I must say had an amazing time. G&D are by far the best thing musically (trance) to come out of the states and they compete with us european DJs. The set kept me on the dance floor the whole time and the evening was one I will always remember. On Saturday I headed to Crowbar, one again this was a great night but for me didn't live up to expectation. The music was good but lacked the variety of G&D. Crowbar is an awsome place and the girls were just amazing... We met so mant really nice Americans and it is great to see that you guys are at last enjoying some great music. Just a few suprises though..... I still have a bit of a laugh when you guys do the Run DMC style dancing in the middle of trance tunes. That is a circle form and people dance in the middle! It's also strange that in Crowbar at 6am most of the guys had their shirts off and looked like Marky Mark, that's something you never see in europe! I took loads of pictures out and will be posting some on the photo section soon. NY is a great place and I look forward to going back next year, thanks to all the people I met (you know who you are) for making the weekend so great!!! Lossy PS Pacha WINS
  9. Look out for two Londoners then. We'll probably look and sound typically English so we should stand out. If anyone see's us there come over for a chat and a beer! If you are a sexy girl, bring all your girlfriends too:clap2: . Really looking forward to the weekend in New York, 7th time so lets hope it's Lucky 7! Lossy
  10. Great Shout about using a drivers license.. UK ones have a Picture and DOB on. Thanks!!!
  11. Hi Baby, yep love topless girls but like music more :-) ! I usually club in Ibiza, Berlin, London, although this year I added Stockholm (sweden to the list). I really want a club that DOES NOT play R&B and black music. I have nothing against this but I want to dance not bump and grind !! I was thinking Crowbar, but maybe you guys no better? Pacha should be a blast Friday. I am really looking forward to being in NY. Lossy
  12. Hey Hey, yep just realised that its Pacha for G&D! Yes I have tickets, booked online. Us Brits are noturious for getting wildly drunk and having a really great time. i wouldn't even take my mobile out let alone my passport and thats when i go clubbing in the UK! I am going to have to sort out getting my DOB put on my Fire I.D., I don't mind losing that! Good tip for a great track. Check out Leaving London by Team SR, Shivvers by Agnelli & Nelson........... So i have Friday night sorted, What do i do Saturday? Should I do Crowbar? Come on guys help me out!!! Thanks, Lossy
  13. Thanks for the advice. I cannot believe everyone get Id'd! In the UK we have no I.d, only students maybe but certainly not adults! I don't fancy taking my passport out with me so I am not sure what I will use.. My fire I.d does not have my DOB on. On another note I pre booked the Crowbar Gabriel & Dresden who are a great act so it should be a bouncing night..... Any of you guys going?
  14. Hi, I am visiting NY in a couple of weeks. I have been before a couple of times and have always had to carry my passport around to get in clubs (even though I am 30). What i.d. do clubs except, I am a fireman so will they accept that? Do they ask all people for i.d? It's not like that in the UK. Cheers! Lossy
  15. Hey, I know you are kidding me!! Didn't some rapper get shot in NY for doing just that?? When I was there last i went to Limelight and another club which was massive (can't remember that). London is great for clubbing, just hit Soho where the bars are open all night, the ladies are cool and the drinks are expensive! Anywhere in London is good, check time out. One great thing about the UK is that the top european Djs are always doing the club scene, you'll find top acts on every weekend... Thanks for the info.......
