  1. John i personaly think you have been doing a good job with the party @ tunnel. I just didnt like Rizzo's set. I hope there are no hard feelings, this is nothing towards you.
  2. Umm nope i was in tweetys boot too, in fact im in there most every week, i always stop bye to say hi, and sure i know DT used to be at tunnel i was there way before danny's days. Since the offer stands, Anyone on this board wana hear some real music on Tunnels dancefloor? If you wana hear deep dark tech-trancy afterhours, just say NO TO CHEEZE maybe i will throw a set down for you. Im sure the people that have been packing my room there for the last year would love to hear me on Mainfloor
  3. Lets get some things straight. I think Jacki Christi did a great job. I just though Mike Rizzo was very KTU and just not acceptable for a NYC nightclub, he would be gread at abyss. We can do alot better, NYC has alot of talent that play Cutting edge tracks and realy mix. And as for TWEETY we talked in his booth and both agreed that although the place had a dancefloor packed the music was cheey, he even said "well its ktu" maybe he wont admit it to you buy ive seen him at twilo so i know he has taste. What i concider good DJ's and what you liten too are worlds apart, i might not even be at tunnel this weekend cuz of a party up the street <hint hint>. Maybe my style wont go well at tunnel but thats ok it will do fine at love parade, when is mike playin there? haha I dont think so. and FYI i had resedency @ tunnel all last year and took some time off off the party on my own and still spin frequently, all the regular party kids know me. You talk alot like your all big, i dont see you mixing so you dont have alot of credibility as to skills believe it or not most non dj's dont know a really god mix from an ok one. I can garentee you dont hear what i do. Sory i didnt get back to your invitation i was at satellite gettning new trax. As for the drinks thanks but i get my own drink tix. Also i think i will avoide the pleasure of letting myself be known too you as im sure you just as lovely in person as you are online. (that was sarcasm) Though i realy would like you to hear one of my sets im sure ill be playin @ tunnel again in the next few weeks, it would be good education for you. Anyways ill send you a postcard one of these days from berlin when i play love parade! he he [This message has been edited by djcritic (edited 04-10-2001).]
  4. Once again WRONG! I said LAST WEEKEND not 2 weekends ago. I play DEEP tec-trance, shit ofa steelyard, Hooj choons, and Bedrock, get a clue girl.
  5. if you want me to spin ill be @ the booth with my records, lots of people know me there I was spinnin in the mezz last weekend from 3-6. Be forewarned there wont be any anthemy kazoo music, its all deep like diggers and deepdish, i avoid un neccicary drumrolls. As for Tsetoes and JP no thank you ill stick with DT and JD. I gota say my music though would be more appreciated by the twilo crowd than the cheeze and crackers scean. [This message has been edited by djcritic (edited 04-08-2001).]
  6. Listen bitch, i was in the booth with tweety and we both agreed he sucked, i dont care what white label it was it was gay. You want me in to booth to do better invite me, Ill play a set like Diggers and show yer KTU ass what real music and mixing is all about. Deep dark long mixes you wack bitch. Dont wory about who i am ive been a member of this site since 1998 actualy. Really who the hell r u anyway? Some piece of DJ meat who throws herself at everone in a both? get a life, Ive spun at tunnel over a year, ive spun, exit and limelight as well. 7. Dunno but veatax makes one also and it has gotten good reviews.
  8. OK Jackie Cristie was very good. BUT Mike Rizzo SUCKED. If i wanted to listen to KTU i would sit at home. Get him the Fuck outa tunnel he cant even mix. HONESTLY i didnt hear him mix out a single mix last night, he just "dropped" records in before the breakdowns he basicaly spun like what he is, a radio jock. To make it worse his track seletions sucked, who invented this take 2 played out tracks and put them together concept, as if that would make it cool again? sorry but i need a mirecle vocals over sandstorm made me wana puke. Even the light jock though he sucked, and tweety has heard alot of fucking dj's in that place.
  9. I think that is due to the "too many promoters" phenomina, think about it, a place can only hold so many people so if suddenly you have 2x the number of people being wana-bee promoters and expecting 5$ a head the clubs gota jack prices up. Clubs should just tell promoters if they can pull in 200 people they have no job or something to that affect. And get all the cheezy kazoo playing "slammin beat" dj's outa the booths just because they promise some bigger promoter 50 or 80 heads. start hiring the kid that spends all his spare time at home by himself mixing, cuz in the end, the party will be better.
  10. OK this is my first post but i gota vent on something that has been burning for a while. There is something seriously wrong in NYC these days that is hurting our music scean. The promotions game. There was a time when DJ's got booked because they were good, they were hired to make the music, not "bring heads" Today im sory to sad but that has gone to the wayside so promoters can get lazy and cheape and instead of "being promoters" they will only book DJ's that are poor quality with lots of friends. These kids are basicaly "buying" their way, with promises of 50 heads on their <A HREF="http://www.clubplanet.com/guestlists/" TARGET="_blank"> guestlist</A> . Meanwhile i listened and they couldn't match beats, they didnt even try they just mixed the trance in the airspace. Forget about even paying attention to harmonics. This isn't just small room DJ's im talking mainfloor too. NYC needs to start cutting back the promoters and start hiring the REAL tallent, because there is some out there that can do more than play a bunch of kazoo music and "slamming beats". While we flock to twilo on fridays to hear deep smooth mixes and nice seet programing, believe it or not NYC doesn't have to import that kind of show. Notice all the clubs with actualy tallent have little promotions? the Small number of promoters who work there work close with the management and make sure the music is good, they work hard to bring in people and let the DJ's be DJ's.
