hopefully this post will clear up all the rumors. first, i'd like to thank Alex Cordova, John Dimatteo, Jase, Richie Romero and RJ Silver for all their help over the past year. About a year ago I threw my 24th birthday party at Saci .. that was the first time i was given the opportunity to spin with them. The party was a huge success and after that i beacme their resident DJ and was a part of all of their parties. I owe alot to them and will always be more than grateful for the opportunity to do what i love. For those who know me, you all know that sound factory has always been a home to me. I was fascinated with the abilities of jonathan peters from day one and the overall vibe in the club is like no other. Recently, i was offered the residency on the main floor on friday nights. At first, I was very hesitant to accept being that I would have to terminate my residencies with CliQue. However, how can i pass up an opportunity to showcase my passion for playing music at the club I love so much? Needless to say, I am the new friday night resident at Sound Factory on fridays nights beginning April 5th. To all that have been to parties that i played - thank you sooooo much for all the support. everyone one of you are very important to me. i would never have been given the chance to do any of this without all of you. I hope that you all continue to support me and help me make sound factory fridays a party everyone looks foward to all week long! if anyone needs any further info please email me shawn@shawnink.com

here's the lineup for this weekend!! thursday - one year anniversary party @ saci (41st between broadway & 6th) with guest dj sheldon romero friday - physical graffitti @ float (52nd between 8th & broadway) im also going to be playing at the sicktracks party at Roxy this friday from 10 - 12. im looking foward to this party. should be a great turnout. Im going to be spinning along with Johnny Vicious & Aaron Swank. Saturday i'll be in Hunter mountain spinning at Powder. The last time i played at this club the vibe was absolutely great! can't wait to do it again this saturday! thats it for now shawn ink

the 700's suck. yea they loook real cool and the acuracy might be better then the 600's butt .. the 700's WILL break! I've broken 2 sets already if your a dj that needs a good set of headphones that wont break and you dont want to end up with tape or wire ties on your new coooooooool silver headphones - i suggest getting the 600's for durability alone! for you acccuracy junkies ... the 7509 is the exact same model with digital studio monitor ... THEY WONT BREAK!!! i use the mdr 600 when im spinning and in my studio theres a few 7506's layong around here. for dj use ... i just feel that the 600's are more comfortable, more sturdy and overall a better choice shawn ink
