if that post is gay, call me christopher lowell! gracias, glad to help out te boston massive. make sure you read the footnotes, although i'm not gonna lie, there are a few 10 point font footnotes that'll make you throw the book down, but it's worth it believe me. not to far into the book shit starts to come together, and foster wallace gives you the historical background (via a puppet show). oh, and if you ever finish it, go back and read the first chapter again. that is all i will say for now what can i say that axis came together in true deklab (r.i.p.?) fashion. thank y'all for coming out, turnout was tremendous. i've been buying all deep-ish stuff for 6 months so tagging with scott was a blast, dude has the most original shit.

deklab is back, get your weekend off on the right foot with a 5 dollar show of quality dance music sure to lift your spirits, move your ass and pee clear. if you've never heard our little crew deklab, this would be a great time to check us out. introduce yourself, and you might get a free cd* out of the exchange. and for 'the usuals', with no work** on the 4th, how about a few shots. WHO: you and your friends WHAT: dj's wagz, scott and dres selecting house, techno and trance to move the floor and please your ears. WHERE: Axis WHEN: wagz + scott 10pm to 12:30-45, then dres 'till close HOW: with no work the next day, there is plenty of guilt free drinking to be had thanks, and if you're going to digweed or out of town for the 4th have a blast - dave *dres recorded a SIK mix on sunday. i believe partly inspired from mr. cox's performance on friday, he builds up quickly from the deep to proggy to techy. y'all gonna like this one i promise **unless you're on the european holiday schedule like myself. shout out to luxembourg

hey, i agree wholeheartedly...untill we figure out to reach more people with the basic vibe and idea of the night i'll try to inform more of the internet community as to what kind of styles we have, like you rightly pointed out with the agent001/funky-house example. i'm beyond psyched to be involved with this, and above all i'm interested in the night being a success, because it was an idea launched by like-minded people, as i'm sure you can understand. thanks! peas:cool: -
and hell has quite possible frozen over??! thanks for your comments in the agent thread, they will all be brought up to mgmt soon. as mostly djs and not promoters we would prefer above all else to let things grow in an organic manner, and do the best to offer a no nonsense night. groovehell - i think most people are familiar with debo, but for the rest of the guests/residents i'll make an effort to describe the style for newbies and whatnot. nyis - girls, girls, girls i do adore...with plenty of residents and a very limited budget for outside guests (meaning not our friends [meaning probably 'prog' djs]) we're making some effort to bring in new (deserving) people like ac, dan, tasty, etc. make sure to have a dictionary next you when you read infinite jest, you're in for it! bam sq1-012 26-jun-03 john debo & daniel spurling ---------- sq1-013 03-jul-03 deklab ---------- sq1-014 10-jul-03 john debo & matt fonstein a/k/a tasty ---------- sq1 thursdays at axis always five bucks always zero attitude sq1 p.s. teamj, get a day job:hat:

lol @ clubbing...so true good points guys. i think more than prgoressive the night was about no-nonse dancing, drinking and classics, but put a much of progressive dj's in a room like axis... good points all around, i'm taking notes (literally)

hoska was clothed, in fact we talked about this very topic, i.e. it being kinda sad in a way that a quality such as sq1 has to remain mostly industry....maybe it's our esoteric marketing strategy, who knows;) w/r/t = with respect to brian, read this book: infinite jest

the crowd mas actually a good mix, w/r/t the QUALITY of the huss, we'll work on that for ya good night overall i think everyone would agree. you can check out the reviews @ the site www.squareoneboston.com
