  1. first off i think house (in it's current form, or any 'untz untz' music as people like to call it) will ever get big in the u.s. precisely because of disco... i agree with the first part, but isn't the second part the whole point of going out in the first place? maybe i'm way off base...at sq1 we have a hardcore following of 200 who go out to have a few drinks and appreciate the music...what we want is an extra few to come down, dance, have a blast and try to hook up... my main problem with msg boards is it takes a lot of the mystery out of going out. everyone knows every little thing about every night in the city, and exactly how every night went down. normally you'd think it would help with this new medium to have increased interaction and communication, but people have more preconcieved ideas and opinions about nights before thay go themselves. again, maybe i'm way off base but just my thoughts atm.
  2. actually the girl-to-guy ratio has been much, much better...bring your friends, shots all around!
  3. "AGENT 001 part 2: The DJ who Shagged me" Calling all Boston dance music enthusiasts! It's time for round two of what was a stellar night of music and dancing brought to you by International House Magician Steve Porter and myself. Many of you were at the first show on May 29th, and the vibe created between all of us was hair-raising! Those of you who couldn't make it now have another chance to come shed all inhibitions and shake it properly with Boston's most fun-loving crowd! We have a whole slew of new tasty music bits, and a few classics ready to throw down, all with the Agent seal of approval. I would also like announce another CD giveaway. This time around we will have the classic 'AGENT 001' CD reel from 2002, this years 'AGENT 001 and Friends' and I will have a very limited number of a 2xCD mix which I just completed for the Proton Radio Featured Artist show. SO, Thursday night, grab your friends, leave your troubles behind, and come to Square One at AXIS for a Top Secret good time! - eli w www.squareoneboston.com

  10. TOMORROW SEX AND YOUR CITY Go! has unearthed definitive proof that Boston is not littered with frigid prudes and persnickety fussbudgets. Talent scouts from HBO's ''Sex and the City'' will be sniffing around Avalon on Saturday night for fresh faces to appear as extras on their program. Would a show like ''Sex'' bother with Boston if we were all corset-wearing prima donnas? We rest our case. Although we suspect that these casting directors will likely pass on hiring Go! -- not because we're a prima donna, but because we're a pre-Madonna (as in born before 1983). But you -- young, supple reader -- are exactly what the casting couch ordered. Find your ticket to fame at Avalon beginning at 10. And even if you don't get picked to appear on the show, you can still sulk along to the throbbing beats of DJ Nailz.15 Lansdowne St., 617-262-2424.

  21. i played for about 2 hours (mostly old shit) but played breaks for 40 min. of that time is what i meant to say
  22. teamj was in the house for a min . i had a crew of some of my old friends from high school stop by so that was cool. i played breaks for about 40min, people seemed to enjoy it. i left a bit after 12 cause i was done and by that time there was nobody left. getting supa dupa baked before hand wasn't the greatest idea. the filler crowd was literally 3-5 people, the rest were people i knew were stopping by. even though there's very little consistency i'd hate to see a night like this go because of it's underground and hardcore-ness. granted what else is the kells gonna do on tues.
  23. good luck with the nights, i'll try to make it by i/d
  24. thanks! FYI, this is shameless self-promotion, this post was just shameless!
  25. hmmmmm...you got me there:hat:
