Growing up around the influence of music it was only obvious that his goal at fifteen was to get a pair of turntables and learn how to DJ. Starting out Djing block partys and sweet sixteens he knew this was the life he wanted to lead. At the age of 17 he met and became good friends with Keith Carter who was at the time opening up for Hex Hector at Palladium NYC. Carter started taking him to Palladium every weekend to help with his set. It didnt take long before Rob had his own Saturday night spot in Brooklyn at UMC. Djing for promoter John Barbera, he found his passion, in underground house music. After a couple of years, Rob decided that he wanted to see the world. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1996 at the age of 19. Within the four years of his enlistment, Rob found himself traveling all over the world. Places like Africa, Europe, South America and Central America to say the least. Stationed in Florida, Rob tried as hard as he could to keep Djing. Knowing that the house music scene was not big out there, he knew he could get a name for himself spinning hip-hop and reggae. He finally got a chance spinning at a local hip-hop club. He slowly gained respect from his crowd and started introducing House music into their scene. His following got big enough and soon enough had a residency at Nightown, FL. Over the next three years he acquired residencies at Zanzibar, the Den, Galaxy and many more. While in Florida, he also spent a lot of his free time teaching himself the basics of midi and learning how to produce. And by the time he left Florida the underground house scene was strong and his passion for music grew stronger. Rob returned to New York in June of 2000. After settling in and learning a little more about the industry, he got together with an old friend Chris Bartelli and produced Twisting My Brain. Groovalicious signed it shortly after Victor Calderone dropped it at Crobar for the Winter Music Conference. Twisting My Brain had a huge turn out for a debut single. It reached number 35 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music Club Play Chart. The "Mirage E.P." which was released on Referense Recordings has caught the ear of and is being played by such names as Marcelo Castelli, Saeed and Palash, Chus and Ceballos, Peter Bailey, Carlos Fauvrelle, Mike Macaluso, Richie Santana, Mike Morales and Carlos Menaca just to name a few. His latest release will be out in April of 2004, on Carlos Menaca's label Magna Recordings (Spain), It is entitled "Do You Love Me?". This release had a tremendous buzz at the conference this year and will surely be a huge one for him. Check it out today 4pm-7pm Exclusively on Metro Mix Radio.com

  9. yup steve...its YOUR house they're giving away!! Im in this thing regardless.....whats a better way to celebrate me and my girl's 1 yr annivesary than deko then djais then surf??!!
  10. props to him for landing his music on a budwieser commerical. I dunno if anyone saw it, they never say its his but its definitely somethin he made. Madd $$$$$$$$$$$ right there.... Regardless of liking that sound or not, moving dance music into the mainstream subconscious is always a good thing
  11. maybe i hit the wrong bartender then cuz i got hit for a $10 rb & vodka.... then the worst part of the night-- I went to the main room for a drink and got a drink that was $8 bucks. Female bartender takes my 10 and i stand there awaiting change. She then goes and bullshits with her friends. She looks down and sees me still waiting and rolls her eyes and gets my change. Of course i usually tip but bartenders should never assume a tip like that unless the person walks away. Other than her, bartenders were on point....esp Manny--good job dog
  12. it was 10 or 15, im not sure good thing it was that low, cuz those drink prices were manhattan-style
  13. yea i didnt know house music had that effect on westchester i guess if its exclusive, people start fights no razzous for me saturday--got some biz to handle in jerz....maybe in a few weeks
  14. tough to compare any place to nikki beach but as for this area of the country, gotta love surf!
