Ok, So I check my email and see a new reply notification saying 50 was over the top so go for 15 or 20...At that moment I had 40 so I will leave them. Again, this list is in no particular order and really, the first songs thats came to my mind that I saw as great, got listed. I know I'm forgetting about the other 500, 1000, etc songs thats are probably great but hey, whatever. These are also relatively new. Many are 99 and later. Hope you can relate to some of these.

    Peace

  2. I wouldn't mind participating in this thread, but if you say nothing new, I probably won't even bother. Why nothing new? There are some tracks that have come out lately that are and will remain great. Also, how would you define new? Released in the last year? 2 years? 5 years? 10? 20? Come on now. It's bad enough you want 50 tracks listed, then you gotta have rules about what people see as being Top of ALL TIME. New is part of ALL time because ALL encompasses old and new.

  3. Just a heads up to the DnB heads.

There are new mixes on the site by Bobby Jae [DistrictSoul, dcdnb.org] and Ransom [dcdnb.org], Patrick Scientific [LaStreet.com, Audio Infusion WEAA 88.9 FM], and Slant and Jahwei [2Tuff Productions, Rudebwoy Shuffle].

The mix from Bobby Jae and Ransom are from their set @ Sonar in February.

Slant and Jahwei submitted a mix from their set at Rudebwoy Shuffle on May 14, 2003.

Patrick Scientific submitted his mix from April 2003. Patrick is from LaStreet Promotions and has his own radio show entitled Audio Infusion on WEAA 88.9 FM. A playlist is included with this mix.

All these mixes are exclusives on OutOfBreath.com. The first two can be found in the MEDIA - DJ MIXES - LIVE section. The last mix by Patrick can be found in MEDIA - DJ MIXES - DRUM AND BASS.

I hope you all enjoy these and there are more to come. Please feel free to leave feedback and if you wish. The contact info for each DJ is available in the mix's listing if you need booking info or would like CDs.

    Peace

  4. For those with interests in...

    ...OOB Events:

May 10 is coming and that means a couple things. OutOfBreath.com's Frost is throwing his Birthday Hip-hop Jam called "Move" @ the Maya Angelou Public Charter School on 9th and T Sts, NW in DC. This event will have a dancefloor just for the b-boys and b-girls. On stage will be DJ Book [soul Controllers, WPGC 95.5], Fly Guy, Tha Remainz, and Critically Acclaimed. Starting @ 7pm and going until midnight, the cover is only $5 ($10 with a VIDEO camera). Is that it? Hell no! Also happening is a DJ workshop, Spoken Word exhibition, Black Book Battle, and Graf Workshop on the roof! This is a fundraiser for school and a small portion of proceeds go to Facilitating Leadership in Youth (www.flyouth.org) and Words, Beats & Life. For more info, go to www.outofbreath.com or view the flyer at http://www.outofbreath.com/images/moveback.jpg

    ...Articles/Poetry:

There's a new piece written by Mike "Lokee" King entitled "What Do You Know About Me." Also, liner notes for "Cosecha de la Calle" (the new mix of Salsa classics) and a brief history of Salsa are posted. Next up is an article on Izzy Sanabria and a retrospective on Nina Simone, a legend we recently lost but will never forget.

    ...Mixes:

The newest mix, put together by Lokee and Daniel del Pielago, is a Salsa mix, by the name of "Cosecha de la Calle," consisting of classics. To find this gem, upon entering OutOfBreath.com, click on MEDIA then DJ MIXES then MISC.

    ...Parties:

The newest weekly party additions include:

Rudebwoy Shuffle - Wednesdays @ Red (Drum n Bass)

Black - Thursdays @ Kendejah (House)

    Entice - Thursdays @ Toka

As usual, DJ Line-ups are constantly updated for all the lineups at Club Five, Open Door, and other participating parties. The contests section is active giving you the chance to win guestlist spots at Pearl, M3, and Open Door.

  9. Well, umm...It's his personal review. Lots goes on at WMC. He can't be at every single party. And I'm sure that if he were at every party somehow, he would stick by his review. Don't hate just because your review would be different.

A better way to respond would be to say "Here's my review" and list what YOU think was hot.

    Oh well, whatever.

    Peace.
