  1. yay! hopefully i'll finally get a chance to meet everyone, heh
  2. hey all - just thought i'd extend a quick invite to the local dj's and anyone else who feels like coming out to check out some people spin. my friend and i are hosting a little get together at his place for some dj's to meet up, spin, chill, whatever on sat. from about 1-5 or so and anyone is welcome to take a turn on the decks and hang out. let me know if anyone's interested and i'll relay the details. it's a good chance to bring out the horses while not in front of a large crowd.
  3. http://www.humanshell.com/clips/triumph.wmv lmao!! check this out, i busted out laughing at it. "what's my name...what's my name..."
  4. yeah, i got strange world just on sun when i went to yoshi....it was the only copy i think they had, and i got sunset on ibiza there as well about a month or so ago. they had about 6 or 7 copies at one time, but i guess i got lucky when i went in and it was in stock...i've had luck going on thurs. when the new shipment comes in, or just order online either, both work well.
  5. i went to see the preview last night at midnight and it's well worth it. it seemed to start a little slow, but got up to speed after a bit. the acting was really good and the effects were amazing, the scenery was really nice to. i can only imagine what kind of budget they had for this thing. definitely go see it when you can. my friends and i even saw some dude wearing what looked like a he-man costume or something...it had the rubber padded chest and biceps, etc. lol and then there was this person who was dressed up as a witch/wizard, but had what looked like a carrot for a nose, bahahaha. (i think they missed the monty python preview in the theatre over ) it's a long movie, at about 3 hrs. but goes by at a good pace...sucks we have to wait till next dec. for the next one though.
  6. oink, we'll be pigs! lol, what a classic movie. don't forget to hit a pedestrian riding a bike
  7. Well, I made it to see Tiesto on Sat. and I must say he was brilliant! I agree it was definitely one of the best sets I've seen in a long time. He started off nice and slow w/ a little break-beat in the beginning and then built it up from there and proceeded to tear up the decks. I don't think I've seen Glow that packed and that out of control before. It seemed as though everyone was really enjoying themselves, and I know Tiesto was as well. I was right in front of the booth the entire evening and he looked like he was having a great time, plus he knew how to control the crowd and take them over the edge. As far as tunes he played, I've got a partial list going, and feel free to add: Somewhat in order, but not really: -iio - rapture (deep dish remix) -oceanlab - clear blue water (not sure the mix, maybe Ferry Corsten...I'll have to listen to my record to find out) -Dave Matthews Band - the space between (crowd went nuts, and tiesto was singing along to most of it ) -rank 1 - airwave -insigma - open your eyes (the place went insane, and the lights were awesome) -nalin & kane - open your eyes (great classic tune) -salt tank - eugina (don't remember the mix) -delerium - silence (dj tiesto - in search of sunrise mix) -utah saints - lost vagueness -kosheen - hide u w/ tiesto - flight 643 (entire track of flight 643) -cj bolland - the prophet (again, crowd loved it) -jan johnston - flesh (BT mix) great ending track what a night! it was also really cool that they had a video camera in the booth so that you could see tiesto mixing on the video screen...really fun to see. i think the highlight was probably insigma (for me at least) because he was amazingly into that track and it's got great builds to it, so the crowd went insane. he just kept building the tunes up till the very end, and left you way up!
  8. I went up to NY as well to catch Sasha and Digweed, all in all it was a really great time. Started off w/ the train ride up, and the train loosing it's power @ Newark, then we had to get on another train after about 20 mins or so. My friend and I met up w/ his ex and she showed up around the city some (I hadn't been there since jan or so, and he's from new Zealand). After walking around the city all day, we finally got to Cipriani's a little before 12....after waiting in the qeue for about 2 hrs! we finally got in. The line outside was such a mess, one line for ppl w/ tickets and the other line (opposite side of the walk) for those picking up at will call and those w/o tickets. It was very dissorganized trying to get in and didn't seem like the promoters did that good a job in being ready for the amount of people or the event. Especially when ppl started to take the police barriers away when they got tired of waiting in line after an hour or two. Oh well, when we finally got inside, the place was huge. Really nice high ceilings and a great laser show. I agree the sound was a bit off, depending on where you were standing, and in the back by the speakers it sounded muffled, but making yuor way up front proved much better for sound. As the night went on I think the sound got better as well, maybe just me though. Digweed was on when we got in and he played some serious hard, deep, progressive, and tribal beats. Really nice stuf. Then Sasha came on and laid down some good tunes as well. Didn't recognize much of either of their sets, then they tagteamed it up for a bit and played really well off each other. After about falling over from walking around the city all day and eating once during the same and then dancing for a bit it was time to leave. We left about 6 am before we fell asleep. In all it was a really great time, and i'm just about caught up on sleep now as well.
  9. Ok, time for me to come out of my normal viewing mode...I was listening to PvD's set on 5-10-01 and can't figure out the name of the last track. I think Sharam played it during his set @ Buzz for the benefit show as well, the vocal's go "I'm running, through the fields, laughing, dreaming. I'm drivin', through the mountains...I don't mind what people say, no I won't look back for another day. Gonna shed my skin and walk away, walk away." Anyone know the artist/tune? Anything would be appreciated. Thx all
