Ok, so how about this for a solution -- reward the most frequent posters (the people who really make this board) with less pop-ups, and make it known that once you hit a certain status they'll start going away. T hat will keep the majority of the popups coming up for the people who mainly read (like me), get people like me to start posting, and keep the people who really make these boards worthwhile happy. On the CP side, hopefully that works out and they can make some $$$.

Yeah, it definitely sucks, but I'm guessing that in this rough market, these guys have to do it to pay the bills. I'd rather have the popups than no CP. Anyone got any better ideas for these guys?

Yeah, I was definitely taken off guard...just as I walked in a guy pushed in front of me and told the girls taking money that they should start saying $40, that's it....so I just missed it! On the bright side, it was for a really good cause and a great time, and I'm pretty sure they hit their goal...twas definitely worth it.

It was definitely a good time...I was talking to a friend downstairs around 1:30 when I realized Moby was standing right behind her, so we talked to him for a bit, but I don't know if he actually went on at all. By the time DT went on upstairs just after 3, it seemed like most of the club had packed in there (downstairs was empty) and I left just after 4...

Just as I walked in some guy came over to the girls collecting $$ and said to just say $40 from now on...and that was 9:30. Around 2:30 they made an annoucement that they'd hit $100,000 just from the door, so I'm guessing with all the bar tabs they definitely hit their goal.
