only if we see the dutch boys ...bottomless?! j/k yep, South Beach you can go topless...but unfortunately,there are SO many immature (mainly american) tourists(like on spring break from UT or somin'...) that just walk around gaping and mentally grope us gals or make lame come ons...so, (at least when i was modeling on the beach)alot of the gals go the gay beaches(a boat is fine too...)...to layout in peace and privacy... unless you like that....

Yo- I just switched reservations. I called the local office of Carlson Wagonlit (www.carlsontravel.com) they're an int'l travel agency and asked them to beat my already decent rate, and they called back with 3 options. They four of us are now staying at the Hotel Clifton(www.hotelclifton.com), a simple art deco boutique hotel on 13/Collins for $79.95 plus tax a night. Our grand total for 6 days is less than $600($150 each). We saved over $100 a night. Now that money can go to my nikki beach mojito fund...

Ocean Drive(Ending at 15 Street/Billboard Live), Collins,Washington, Penns, West Avenue, Alton Road...and so on run vertically: North- South. The number streets run horizontally:East-West. South Beach is from 1st to 21/22 Street. So, if you're staying on Ocean Drive you're mos def in SoBe, if you're on Collins(which is a LONG ASS road) make sure the address is no higher than 2300, and same goes for Washington/Alton, etc. If you're hotel/staying on one of the numbers streets, MAKE SURE it is in MIAMI BEACH. Not, Miami. There's a BIG difference. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask ( I moved back from SoBE late last year...so, i'm pretty resourceful) Cheers!

If you're an underaged: Boy: Don't even come down ... Girl: You probably could get in most places save : Blue(its the month of Spring Break and they card any face they don't recognize), Crobar(cards any face they don't recognize...unless you're with a group getting a table...), Level, SPACE(cards everyone and their mama...unless once again you're with a group thathas a table...maybe not) I went to conference first time in 2001 when i was 20, but then again i'm chick. I had my older sisters's i.d., and the only pace i got carded was Level/&Space. However, I still recommend the i.d. My 2 cents...

Hey- The Essential Mix is a weekly show that dj Pete Tong hosts on the British Broadcasting Company( BBC)'s Radio 1(you can also catch online). They do a bunch of events live at several venues and they have been throwing an annual free all day event(last year @ nikki) and broadcast live(they also have a boat party, bt don't hold your breathe for that, it's invite only) . This year it's at Opium (www.opiummiami.com) and starts at noon on Friday, the 21 and goes 'til 9 p.m. Plus there's also the annual Astralwerks/Naked party at Nikki BEach(www.nikkibeach.com), last year it was an all day free bbq. the "Nikki 2nf Floor lounge" Is Pear Restaurant and Champagne Lounge(www.pearlsouthbeach.com) . You have great taste, that is my FAVOURITE place on the beach, and the staff is the friendliest and knows how to treat a lady.

*Nikki Beach is always good after Sunset on Sundays, Pearl upstairs at 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Opium, hip hop in the main and progressive house upstairs in the Anti Hip Hop room. * Tantra on Monday with Louis is always good, for soem sexy house or Back Door Bamby@Crobar. or just chill and relax and recuuperate on the beach.

you've got mail, girlie. we're staying at The South Beach Hotel on 22/Collins(by Mynt Ultralounge) a block from the ocean. I remember it to be a pretty chic boutique hotel. Art Deco. It has no pool but has a restaurant and bar+. The rooms that are left are for triples or quads and are going for $165.00 plus 13% tax per night. Through Famitours! I honestly think that is the best deal left,especially for location,quality and price. All the great fares in the heart of SoBe are already snatched up, and all that is left is mostly over priced or off SoBe. So, i'd contact sales@famitours.com and see what the availabilities for ANY of there properties be... lemme know if you have any other questions...glad to help.. ciao

hey girl...sorry, i thought i sent it. anyhow, just giving you MY helpful hints from one girlie to another, based on MY experience. i lived in SoBE last season for modeling, but this year i'm away but it will be my third time attending ,girl! I decided to move to SoBe after attending the conference as a newbie in 2001 and believe it or not, none of my pals wanted to come, but luckily i had some girlfriend who lived there...but i digress... first off, in my opinion and from my experience. i didn't spend any money. women rule in south beach, we can get away with alot. don't get a badge for the conference unless you're in the industry, and you really don't need to get advanced tickets for events because i have seen people from out of town with their pre paid tickets trying to get fabrizio 's attention at crobar night and that still didn't guarantee them shit. have a partner in crime, i have the coolest friend on earth, my girlfriend from college, she down for going everywhere and staying up all day(we timed our sleep,if we did , from 7-10-when nothign was going on!) and stuff she didn't pass judgement on other people habits that she didn't partake in. so, it was cool. i didn't have a big group of people dragging around and having to keep in touch with and making sure got into the club. tell your friends that aren't staying with you to meet you at the venue t(if they get in). plus, with the two or three eof us gals, we got invited to more parties-events, going to space for free with peopel who had tables...we wren't too many people...anyhow... r.s.v.p. for many of the events, so that you are guestlisted and that takes away cover, and then you also have a avriety of events to pick and choose from (www.masterpartylist.com) also print it out, for reference. i always like to carry on any vacation at least $100, that's for cab/meals/drinks/cover/shopping/party favours....you may easily not even spend this! essentials that i like to pack: *pair of brasilian("hip huggers/lowriders") this is like the female uniform. and it's versatile, you can wear them with a biki at beahc party or at night with nice slides and a cute top. *comfy but cute shoes(for the beach or nikki beach or space) *a pair of killer slides *bikini(s) *tanks *shorts *mini skirt( all the rage this spring,always wear with heels if not tall) *club tops *the ever essential pair of black clubbing pants * a cute/small clutch(purse) that youc an easily stick on your shoulder and under your arm Be cordial. You never know how you may be next too. You may meet people everywhere you turn, 2001 i shared a cab with some big deejays from NYC. last year, we ended up having lunch with some big wigs at bmg.
