  4. Panorama Productions presents **DAVID GUETTA** GLOW – Washington D.C. – www.ClubGlow.com Saturdays at f.u.r. nightclub -Saturday March 10th DAVID GUETTA (DavidGuetta.com) Opening set by GEORGE KARMOKOLIAS (myspace.com/thekarmidance) David Guetta is a household name in France, with two gold albums to his name, but it’s only in the past few years that he has captured the world’s attention as both a super-star DJ and acclaimed producer. He crafts hook-laden but cool pop songs with cutting-edge electronic beats. David drives himself to make Dance music that reaches beyond clubbers and takes the essence of his late night indulgences into the hearts and homes of everyman. Guetta regularly makes his own DJ tools/edits of his favorite records to spin out. When he and production partner Joachim Garraud took the Tocadisco remix of The Egg’s, “Walking Away†and layered the incredible Chris Willis vocal over it, they knew they’d re-created something very special. The mash-up has blown to be the hottest dance track of the Ibiza season and crossed pop to be a No 3 smash in the UK. And with equal success second time around in France, “Love Don’t Let Me Go†has proved itself to be a song with timeless, classic appeal. The success of Guetta’s first album heralded the beginning of a new DJ career – this time on a global level. Now Guetta headlines throughout Europe on a regular basis and, more and more often, in the United States, Australia, Japan, Singapore and beyond. It’s this unrelenting passion to spin live in the clubs every weekend which sets him apart from your average pop-stars. He’s humble too, which makes him so accessible to his fans. You will often find him swapping tune-talk with clubbers after his set. In 2005 David won DJ of The Year at the House Music awards in London, Live Set Of The Year and Event of WMC for the first F*** Me I'm Famous event to hit Miami. He was the highest New Entry in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll - and nominated for a prestigious Grammy for his Flashdance remix. Though he does only a few mixes of other peoples work, Guetta has earned the respect of some of his idols along the way. Bowie rated Guetta’s version of “Heroes†(another “club toolâ€) so much he gave his blessing for a full release. And David couldn’t say no to Kylie, Cassius or The Eurythmics. David’s second album, GUETTA BLASTER, released in 2005 was even gutsier than the first. David and Joachim Garraud (co-composer and co-producer) created real songs modeled on electro-pop classics of the 80s by such masters as Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Dead Or Alive and New Order, but all original compositions. The gospel sounds of Chris Willis remain most present along with guest vocalists JD Davis, James Perry and Britain’s Stereo MCs and Jamaican darling Miss Thing. Incredibly, David still finds time to promote parties, albeit led by his fabulous wife, Cathy. Born in Ibiza and now calendar staples in Paris, Cannes, London, New York, Miami and beyond. ‘F*** Me I’m Famous’ is an indulgent and decadent mix of both the music and fashion scenes with crazy-cool clubbers. They are unique - rock and film stars; moguls and models mixing with die-hard Dance fans. The mix CDs of the same name are collectables and are helping to establish FMIF as one of the world’s coolest brands. And it’s a DJ driven record label too. First, Second Sun conquered the trance world with their hit collaboration with Paul Van Dyk, "Crush" (3 singles on his label - "Empire", "The Spell" and "Playground" helped solidify their rep, with spins from the worlds top DJs and spots on countless compilations). 11. Panorama Productions presents **CEDRIC GERVAIS** GLOW – Washington D.C. – www.ClubGlow.com Saturdays at f.u.r. nightclub -Saturday December 9th 1:00am-close CEDRIC GERVAIS (www.cedricgervais.com, Sleaze Industries, Ultra Records, Space-Miami) Opening set RICH WEBB (Soulstice) As most of us were popping pimples and starting puberty, Cedric Gervais was behind a set of turntables, playing to thousands of clubbers. At the age we were struggling to get our drivers license he was a resident at one of Paris’ top clubs. While the rest of us were chasing girls, laboring to get through school, or trying to sneak into clubs Cedric was already inside of them, busy becoming one of the top DJs in the world. Seems impressive, but I guess when you’re studying masters of the trade like Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier while the rest of the kids are studying math and science those kind of things aren’t too big of a deal. From these not so humble beginnings Cedric has carved himself a spot in the world of House Music that stretches from the South of France to South Beach. He has also taken the step into production, working with a wide variety of amazing artists while showing off his own formidable talents as well. With headlining spots around the world, as well as his own legendary residencies, Cedric has made a name for himself that will soon be on the lips of clubbers the world over. His first gig was a 3000 person rave in the South of France at 15 years old. A residency at Queen in Paris followed shortly thereafter and eventually he landed in Miami at the world-renowned Crobar where he became the hottest thing in South Beach. Cedric’s reign over the stylish and beautiful crowds on Washington Avenue lasted four years and spread down the road to Nikki Beach where his Indio Locco party put the recently opened outdoor/indoor club squarely on the map. In 2004 he moved downtown to his current home, the world famous Space in Miami. During his residency at Space he has played alongside the most famous DJs in the world on the main floor every Saturday night including Deep Dish, Roger Sanchez, and Sander Kleinenberg. Every Sunday morning at Space, he heads to the Terrace at 5 AM for his own special sets that last well into the afternoon. On the production tip Cedric has worked with all the top electronic talents and labels you can think of, from Peter Rauhoufer to Dirty Vegas to Second Sun as well as some giants in the world of rock. Along with sometime production partner Dallas Austin they created distinct sounds for Duran Duran’s Want You More while also remixing the track for the classic New Wavers. Even Lenny Kravitz clocked his skills and asked Cedric to remix two of his songs, Believe In Meand Stillness of the Heartwhile listening to him play in Miami. His original productions have been just as noteworthy; his first release Burning on Ultra Records made a huge mark and lead the top label to request a two-album deal. His debut artist album on the way is, Experiment due this summer. The first single, Spirit Of My Lifereleased in April is already a staple in the sets of Erick Morillo, Seb Fontaine, Deep Dish and loads of other major DJs. In addition to his album, he had a hand in the biggest track of the 2006 WMC with his remix with Second Sun of Queen’s Another One Bites The Dust. This summer’s album tour will take him to Ibiza, London, across America, and around the world. His residency at Space will continue as well, providing a home for Cedric and his most diehard fans. Without a doubt Cedric Gervais has already achieved more than most top DJs could ever even hope for, but his reign is just beginning and he is sure to make even more noise with his music before long. Experiment will be released on July 11th on Ultra Records. No other DJ can claim to have won it three times, let alone consecutively. But Tiësto's is a career punctuated by landmark achievements – the first DJ in the world to sell out a solo stadium event for over 25,000 people, he scored a number one hit with his single Traffic, the first instrumental track to reach the top spot in his homeland of Holland in 23 years. His remix of Delerium featuring Sarah McLachlan's Silence was the first house track ever broadcast on daytime radio in North America, (it became an international dancefloor anthem and also spent eight weeks in the UK top 10 chart). He played live in front of billions of people during the Parade Of The Athletes at the official opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Athens. But despite his meteoric success, Tiësto remains grounded about his achievements and clearly loves making and playing music above the accolades it brings. GLOW – Washington D.C. Panorama Productions presents **BAD BOY BILL** GLOW – Washington D.C. – www.ClubGlow.com Saturdays at f.u.r. nightclub -Saturday November 11th 1am-close BAD BOY BILL (badboybill.com, beatport.com, Menage Music-Chicago) Opening set DAVID GARCIA "America's no. 1 Favorite DJ" (BPM Magazine), Bill is a favorite amongst dance-music fans world-wide. Now with his latest release, Bad Boy Bill takes it to another level; The first of the its kind, "Behind The Decks," the 2-disc set boasts a 2.5+ hour DVD in addition to a 70+ minute mix CD, with a discrete 5.1 Dolby surround sound mix with visuals. In a market full of simulated-surround sound DJ mixes, which merely add some reverb and audience participation in an attempt to give the mix a live feel, Behind The Decks actually isolates vocals from percussion and the like, bringing a truly revolutionary live feel through 5 speakers. Also included are Bill’s music videos, behind-the-scenes footage from the road and in the studio, and live interview footage, which Bill hopes will give his audience “a good picture of what I’m like and what I do.†Bill got his start DJing as a teenager, joining a DJ crew in the neighborhood and spinning at DJ battles. Only a senior in high school, Bad Boy Bill started his own record label. He eventually became a household name as a DJ on Chicago’s B96, using his “Bad Boy Bill†audio ID as a way of distinguishing himself from the other DJs on the radio. Today, Bill spends most of his time producing tunes in the studio or out on the road, playing up to 150 gigs annually, everywhere from New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles to international hotspots including Peru, Colombia, Germany, England, and Spain. Spinning the crowd into a dancing frenzy is Bill's motivation. "My DJ style originated with the idea to remix a song live with two copies of the same record and then combine scratching and hip-hop techniques with house grooves." Bill says. "The payoff for me is seeing people dancing and having a great time during my set.†Now the live experience can be brought straight into your own living room, and with a number of Bill’s own tracks also included on Behind The Decks, the album is a great precursor to Bad Boy Bill’s next project: his artist album.
