  3. In the world of dance music, very few can deny Yoshitoshi its place at the forefront of the global dance music scene. Soon, this vaunted record label will celebrate its 100th vinyl record release. In a world where artists, styles, and record labels come and go, 100 releases in a single catalog is an exciting milestone and something truly worth celebrating. To celebrate this event, Yoshitoshi has put together a special package that will feature 4 of the label’s most popular classic hits remixed by some of today’s most talented producers. Eddie Amador’s massive cut “House Music†will be given the treatment by Belgian duo Filterheadz. Luzon’s equally large “The Baugio Track†will see a remix by Iberican heroes Chus & Ceballos. American producer That Kid Chris will ply his remix skills to Alcatraz’ timeless “Giv Me Luv†while Irish producer and DJ Phil Kieran will give new life to the 6400 Crew’s “Dubb Me Some’tin Freshâ€. Each of these remixes will be released simultaneously in very limited quantities as 4 one-sided singles. Later, the four mixes will be available as part of a double pack release. Washington D.C. based Yoshitoshi Recordings was founded in 1994 by Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi of Deep Dish as an outlet for their unique brand of house music that was too genre bending for most labels to support. Focusing on the mantra “if it’s good, we’ll release it†Yoshitoshi has firmly established itself as one of the premier marks in dance music. “When we started Yoshitoshi 8 years ago we had one goal, to release quality dance music. The fact that we’ve reached 100 releases is a testament to all the great artists that have contributed to the label†says Sharam Tayebi. Besides the great number of 12†vinyl released by Yoshitoshi, the imprint is also responsible for artist albums by Morel and YMC as well as compilations by Deep Dish and the label compilation series In House We Trust, which will see In House We Trust 3: Mixed by Luke Fair & Desyn Masiello released in early June of 2003. The label also enjoys two sub-labels in the form of Shinichi Recordings and newly minted YO Recordings, which were formed as another outlet to release the large amount of quality music that finds it’s way to Yoshitoshi.
  4. As label manager of YOSHITOSHI, i can say 100% this event is NOT HAPPENING. Do not show up and expect to hear Deep Dish. They will NOT be there.
  5. i'll only say the once - ONLY behrouz is spinning.
  6. no list that i know of....just show up - and maybe get a free CD
  7. With attitudes like yours - it's no wonder so many idependent dance labels are going under.
  8. Greetings from Shinichi Headquarters, below you will find an update on all our recent activities: Shinichi Releases Out Now: SHI009 Bernard Leon Howard III featuring 80 - 'Marscarter' (Original/Debo & Porter/Morel/Joshua Remixes) BLH III’s impeccable production skills are paired up with the soulful and seductive vocals of the mysterious 80. This massive double pack features remixes by Yoshitoshi’s very own Richard Morel, Debo & Porter, and west coast prodigy Joshua. Marscarter has been featured on Satoshi Tomiie’s Global Underground: Nubreed, Chris Fortier’s Bedrock 3 CD and will be featured on the upcoming Bedrock 4 CD mixed by John Creamer & Stephane K DJ Mag Sureplayer 5/5 – Luke Brancaccio Muzik Mag **** Progressive Section November Issue Muzik Mag **** House Section November Issue Laurent Garnier - “I’ll definitely drop it in my sets.†Hector Romero – “Morel saves the day!†5/5 Jerry Bonham - “!†5/5 Scott Bradford - “Excellent!†5/5 Rob Jay - “Excellent!†5/5 Louis Osbourne - “Maximum Support For the Deepness.†5/5 Gordon Kaye - “A beautiful record†5/5 SHI010 Cuba Computers featuring Derek Conyer - ‘Haunting Me’ (Original/Laid/Chus & Ceballos Remixes) The Shinichi record machine is at full capacity releasing another vocal monster. Cuba Computers deliver a beautiful & soulful house number. They provide us the original, and a funkier remix under their Laid moniker. Chus & Ceballos were charged with the remixes and deliver an amazing tribal interpretation. In the form of a vocal and a dub, the mixes keep the soulful touch of the original, but add their signature Iberican sound. Danny Tenaglia has been hammering this since Miami and has just charted it as his current favorite in the Pacha magazine! Tom Stephan has been playing on his Kiss 100 show. Danny Howells went mad for it after a visit to our office. Erick Morillo called us up asking for a copy, Satoshi Tomiie and Barry Gilbey liked it so much they gave it a 6 out of 5, and the list goes on. It’s also featured on Trendroid’s recent “Transport 6†compilation. The most sought after Shinichi release to date is finally here! Muzik “This is more haunting, driving vocal electronics from Yoshitoshi’s deeper offshoot. Best served in the ‘Chus and Ceballos Iberican Vocal†Pacha Magazine - Charted by Danny Tenaglia as his current favorite track. Kiss 100 Plays by Tom Stephan.
