    yeah I know it used to be Vinyl...

    but I never went

    anyway this is what I received in my email

    Grand opening of arc, Saturday June 22nd

    The venue formally known as Vinyl will be relaunched as arc on Saturday June 22nd. arc, not just a club, will present an entire experience every time you walk through the doors. A state of the art sound system by Steve Dash, rotating still and video art installations by some of New York's most innovative artists, and a general facelift will all work together to create a new vibe in New York City nightlife, while maintaining the rawness and integrity of the underground music scene.

    The new sound system is being custom designed, built and installed by the legendary Steve Dash of Phazon fame to maximize the potential of what we already know to be a throwdown dance floor! Our vision is for the walls of arc to be used as gallery space. It includes periodic art installations creating a new visual experience every four to six weeks. arc's redesign will include a new light show, new floors, a vamped up VIP room and more. The renovation of the space will bring a new aesthetic meant to streamline your experience to the music.

    yeah ive been to EXIT once...and I may go for PVD since I loved him at Twilo but i really loved Twilo over EXIT sniff sniff

    and then paul o on july 5th at exit. wow!!! if I had to choose one, man I dunno how I would!!

    :( :( anyway...trancegiving...yeah that's sposed to be hot!!! when is that???

    and any news on any discounted tickets for any of those!

    forever searching for any discounts...:( me a poor student...

    Hi there...

    just wondering if anyone had any info on Paul O's parties...

    I love PVD and have gone to Twilo in the past for him...

    I also love Paul O's CDs but never been to a party of his..

    any input would be great!!! I am dying to go to his party at EXIT on 7/5/02!

  7. Which type of music is "house"?

    OK, I wanted to get some information straight...

    Whenever I hear ppl talking about HOUSE that clubs play I get real confused, cuz back in the 80's, there was a type of music that got popular that was called house and/or club music but it was more like freestyle, pop, latino music, rap. now some ppl call techno "house" (at least some of my European friends do).

    for me anyway I don't want to go into a club and hear the first type for sure, since i don't like that type of music. no offense to anyone that does, i just don't. I like progressive and psychedelic trance and can tolerate techno...

    sorry for the dumb questions, I just want to get it straight, that'sxz all...

    hmm so it's free for clubplanet members? how would that work? and how would they know if you are a member or not. ppl can just print out that email and circulate it around.

    anyway I may give EXIT Another shot. I started staying away six months ago. but...what's with all the new theme parties? does this mean Earth Saturdays and Imagine Fridays are gone?

    hmm how is EXIT on wednesdays?? i only go fridays...is it 18 and over too (I am 19)

    anyway wondering if there are any free parties going on this friday (I know Webster is having a free party -- before 11pm) this friday -- at least i think it's this friday (it's on the site)

    i am a newbie to this board but happy upcoming birthday!!!

    :)

    my friend and i will be at the club this friday...

    supposedly there is a pass that lets girls in free prior to midnight.

    btw is Draper doing the sets or someone else. and if it's someone else, what type of music, I am HOPING progressive house and trance on the main floor, that's what i am going for! I have final projects coming out the ass after this week, gotta get stress outta my system!
