  1. Straight from South Beach's Nikki Beach Club. Resident DJ Hana will be playing a set at AIR! Guest list & more info at http://airclubdc.com
  2. yeah, something like that. You know how some people roll their own smokes too! get the bed all full of ashes and shredded "tobacco".
  3. It means you can't just sit there and roll while drinking water all night. You have to SPEND a minimum amount to reserve the spot. It's usually geared towards parties of 8 to 10 people.
  4. AIR is an outdoor dance and lounge party at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Right behind Jordan's Restaurant on 13th and Penn. It's the biggest and most unique outdoor dance party in DC. Fridays the music is more hip hop and R&B with a really cool mixed crowd. Saturdays is international House, Dance Music. Yes there is a wood dance floor. The VIP tents are called Clouds and can be reserved for a minimal spending fee. I think it's just one bottle of liquor. The vibe at this party is really cool. It's a great place to lounge outdoors and enjoy a cocktail with friends. There is plenty of first come first serve couch and table seating but it's all gone by 11pm. You can sign up for the guest list at Your 3 Hosts to get in for $10 before 11pm. This also includes 2 complimentary drinks. (call drinks! not just cheap rail). There's also a wood fired Grill with some great food prepared by a chef. $4-$6 a plate. Music is chill at first and picks up after 11pm. It's not Nikki Beach but it's damn close enough.
  5. Ibuprofen is totally different from Acetaminophen which is the drug that causes liver failure when mixed with alcohol. Ibuprofen is more of a muscle relaxer and reduces swelling which is why it's great for hangovers as the extreme headache is caused by a swelling of the brain. it's also in Midol (good for muscle cramps) Acetaminophen is an aspirin substitute processed in the liver. Deadly when taken with alcohol. There was a big article about it in the Wash post. a college student was hospitalized when he felt faint and mysteriously died the next day. I think they had to exhume the body to do an autopsy which revealed liver failure.

Cheers, Alan http://www.y3h.org
  7. The target crowd is a lounge scene with food served until after closing. DJ's have not all been hired but we are interviewing and it will have a downtempo house feel with differing music on each floor.
  8. I have been asked to put together a list of people who want to get an invitation to the grand opening of a spectacular nightclub. And since you are into the scene, I thought you might want to check it out and join the party. HOME is the most stunning addition to the city's nightlife venues. The sensual design of the interior is like no other club you've seen before. Each floor of the establishment represents a room in a house. Basement, Parlor, Mezzanine, Master Bedroom, and Attic all are designed to redefine glamour. Please use the link below to submit your info to receive an invitation. http://www.y3h.org/refsignup.php?u=c44eafb Thanks for reading, enjoy the day and I look forward to seeing you at the opening! 9. If you say you'll never forget the article, tell us who was it on? What month? Did you write a letter to the editor? DC ONE Magazine is the only publication of its kind in DC. Covering the music scene that no other local pub pays even the slightest attention to. DC ONE prints in a full color glossy format that you won't see with any other rag. And it's FREE. Insults, like violence, are the last resort of the incompetent. I you want to make a difference in the community you are in, offer some help with constructive criticism. Pick up the magazine if you're going to read it. Comment on what you'd like to see more of, and realize that the views of the publisher are not that of its individual journalists. It's part of what's called freedom of the press. Just because you don't agree with what is written in one article doesn't make the whole pub trash. email us if you want to see if we'll respond. You may be surprised.
