    wuddup abe...

all this stuff makes me doubt the media. Don't believe everything you hear. I don't even buy the weather reports anymore. Not like I ever did anyway...

I haven't got a problem with reporting on drug issues, but it just needs to be a little more mature and really investigate how to deal with the issues, instead of pointing a convenient finger of blame at one entity or person.

There'll never be a solution while the media is solely seeking to satisfy the 'concerned reader' who just wants to hear that clubs and everything around them are bad, and are being 'dealt with' by the authorities.

    Well said Nick..

as for secrurity... Space has one of the tightest security units, if not the tightest IMO. Unfortunately, we had a couple of bad apples in the bunch. But it's like I stated on another thread... If a grocery store manager has 2 out of 100+ employees who were caught stealing, does that make him a bad manager??

I still can't get over the New Times so called award.

Cry me a river LP! Your beloved club is done. YOU FUCKED UP. 14 people were arrested inside YOUR club at 10PM. WHO is inside your club @ 10P??? Employees???? EX Employees???? Friends of Employees???? Why are they there???

Now, you blame the media, the Rave Act and anyone else becides yourself. LOOK IN THE MIRROR. ITS YOUR FAULT.

Now, close your doors for a short time, change the name and start making money again.

GOD BLESS AMERICA. IF JERKS LIKE YOU CAN MAKE MONEY, ANYONE CAN.

woah there Mike.. 14 people did get arrested. What the media didn't say was that 14 people got arrested at 9 different night clubs (Space, Gold Rush, Collesium & a few others).

2 of the arrests were club space "current" employees & if I'm not mistaken, about 2 or 3 others were ex-employees, but were separate from the 14 that were mentioned by the media.

This was out of Louis' hands.. he didn't fuck up. His irresponsible, careless employees did. Would you say a grocery store manager fucked up if 2 of his 100 employees were caught stealing?? I wouldn't...

  7. Thanks for the kind words guys.. Who knows Mike?!? Maybe I'll see you next week, outside of your job. I interviewed with the guy that sells parakeets out the back of his truck for a j.o.b. Maybe I'll see u bud. show me some luv & buy a parakeet...

On a serious tip thoug.., I'm extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to work under LP all this time. I know some of you don't think he's the nicest guy, but I've learned alot from him, just watchin' him work & in dealin' with both success & adversity. I'm not gonna bore you with the whole sappy story.. I just wanna extend my thanks. I'm grateful for the experience...

I truly hope some of you are right.. I hope this isn't the end...

  9. In the words of Louis Puig...

    "It is what it is"...

Space has changed my life over the past 4 years. I've shared some good times, both while employed & while being a common patron. I've grown to accept & welcome most of the staff as my family & dear friends. I've given my heart & my all to Space & it has given me just the same in return if not more. Both the new & old building will hold eternal memories of good times as I'm sure many of you feel the same.

I'll never forget the many times I would pace thru the empty halls on a tuesday afternoon & stand alone there speachless, just taking in the peaceful atmosphere after experiencing the weekend joy & madness. The empty palace-like building always humbled me & brought a sense of peace to me. At the old building on the Terrace, I would sit & pause the world for the time. I'll always remember the joy of the Terrace & the intensity & energy of the Mainroom. I'll miss guiding my friends thru the traffic flow of the dancefloor every saturday night on our way to our destination spot. I'll miss the same bar spot & bartender, fixin' me the same drink week in & week out. I'll miss the way the music came off the Dancefloor, the way the lights bounced off the walls. The Dj booths, where I would spend most of my time makin' Roly's records skip. Not to mention Oscar's... I'll miss lookin' down to a packed house & watchin' them feed off of us as we fed off of them. I'm at a loss for words.

Space will be missed, but I guess everything must come to an end. Thanks to the Space family for 2 wonderful years & then some...
