  1. hey steve, didn't know you had the same cell number as my friend, stop making up lies, to make yourself look better it actually makes you look worse. your starting to sound like the mad wrapper( I AIN'T MAD, I AIN'T MAD, BUT MY PROMOTIONS ARE MORE JOHN BLAZE THAN THAT), stop hatin. you'll get farther in life if you do so.
  2. the party is not CANCELLED, still there, new resident dj justin higgins, i just found out good friends of mine are running the party. now steve just because you got fired or im sorry let go from the party, doesn't mean you have to make up lies. now everybody, if you want to go to a good college party, i suggest going to dimis tonight, and every wedensday night for that matter. i'll be there tonight, looking forward to it. steve, obviously you look bad when you get let go from a party, but it looks worse when you lie about the party after the fact buddy. no offense, but maybe you should change your promotional strategy then maybe you'll have a party longer than 3 weeks. tonight should be great, i'll be at the corner of the bar all night with my greygoose & tonic by my side.
  3. just wondering whos going to dimis tonight? was thinkin bout checkin it out? looks like a pretty good party to check out for a wed.
  4. the type of music played is basically house music. hard house and vocals. the resident dj is NICKY SIBILIA. nye is going to be off the hook! we are open till 12:00pm the next day.
  5. saleen, without a doubt, you made a number of valid points, i think your right when it comes to bringing djs (locals) that dj at exit, the party would take off, that is simply because they are locals,so the word of mouth helps out a great deal ( which makes promoting it very easy), they don't ask for $2,000 to spin, they spin with their heart which allows them to play alot better than most djs that u would pay $2000 and up for. for example i run mediterraneo(luna lounge) in totowa.last year when i first started the party, i had a no name dj (but a local), had the atmosphere, it had the look, and luna lounge blew up, and everyone made a shit load of money. my coat check girl even made $350 a night. the place only fits about 600 ppl. but in and out we had about 800ppl a friday. this year added some things to the place, brought in my new resident dj nicky sibilia (which in my opinion is a great dj.) and we're doing just as well this year. so business i do know and i know where your coming from. and i didn't know that they were buddies talking to each other making the party sound great. and when there next event happens ill be sure to make an appearance to see if what there saying is fact or fiction. good talking to you, i def. know where ur coming from now. peace.
  6. saleen, im not a business major, but i am a business man. so with that in mind... Business wise you are right and wrong, maybe it was a bad move for bunka, because they most likely lost money that night, but on the other end of it, im sure they werent disappointed at the same time. i wasnt there but the way ppl are talking about it on this board, it sounded like ppl had a great time, and that they like max music and style alot. now then again if you are a business man, say that yes, bunka lost money, but the owners were happy that the ppl did have a good time and the dj did not suck. so as an owner you did lose money the first time around, but what they say to themselves is, will i lose money the next time around, now keeping in mind the ppl that were there had a great time, he would say to himself if each person tells at least two ppl that they know, that they had a great time at bunka with new a dj with a new sound. the next time around, you will have triple the amount of ppl that you had the last time. hence, the next time around bunka MAKES $$$, have a new party, new sound, and started something new for ppl in nj. which puts bunka on top, having a brand new style for nj to run with. what happens after that for hunka bunka... MO MONEY, MO MONEY, MO MONEY. the point is, taking chances is a part of the business, if you don't take chances and someone else takes that chance, and they make the cash then you look like the asshole. why do u look like the asshole you might ask? because the only reason you didn't take that business proposition was for the fact that you afraid to lose a dollar. NOW SALEEN I KNOW YOU HAVE HEARD THIS TERM, IF YOU ARE THE BUSINESS MAN THAT YOU SAY YOU ARE... IT TAKES MONEY, TO MAKE MONEY! and........ Thats It I'm Done!!!
  7. to jake, tommy, and kosta, and whoever wisfulthinking is, lets all just get along, we're all in it for the money, doesn't mean we have to cutthroat each other, when we get the first chance. kosta is always positive on people and promoters opening new parties whether its image or not. jake and tommy, you guys are great promoters and you know it, so don't let what people say bring you guys down or piss you off. im sure your new spot is going to be off da hook, and i wish you guys the best of luck. jake and tommy i know you guys are doing metro on new years eve but if you get a chance stop by mediterraneo(luna lounge), we're open till 12:00pm the next day. back to the point, lets stop the bullshit, and lets all make money. besides promoters, we're all friends. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU. ALI.
  8. its only $25 dollars to get in, which is not much considering the prices being charged everywhere else for nye.
  9. i didn't go last night, but im actually pretty interested in going the next time there is an event like that. there is not one negative response on this post, which is a very good thing, it means people really enjoyed themselves and enjoyed the music. djs like max can never play at mediterraneo, because we are a restaurant/nightlounge. but if i promoted clubs like image or metro, from the sounds of it, i would def. bring a dj like max in. def. let me know when there is another event like this happening again.
  10. there is a new lounge thats open on rte46 called the martini bar, really nice place, fits only 200 people but the atmosphere is great, leather couches everywhere, candles, nice lighting, the whole nine for a nice lounge, their sat. nights are pretty good, my friends are promoting sat. nights, the sat. after new years. should be good. if you live in parsippany it is very close to your house. it is underneath the tiffanys restaurant.
  11. man1er, why don't you stop in tomm. night at luna and we'll talk about new years. i think i can do something for you. ask for Ali, we'll get together and see what we can work out for nye.
  12. nooooooo. adam and billy aren't the promoters on that party, i know that because i know adam and billy and i also know the people who are doing this lounge. different people, i would tell you whos promoting that lounge but i don't know if they want anybody to know yet. but it will be a phat place the owner is a good friend of mine.
  13. i heard that there are new promoters for weds. at dimis starting jan. 2nd... is that true or just a rumor. just curious to know.
  14. your right it is just a clubboard, i'm just having fun with this, so relax. i guess your a little sensitive i see? don't take things personal, because like u said it is just a clubboard.
  15. i guess thats why magilicuti has no idea where i'm coming from.
  16. thank you sexyinthecity, i thought i made my point clear, thanks for noticing.
  17. no need to call anybody names, we are stating what we feel, don't get offended by what clubkitty said, she is not hatin, she telling facts, why would she hate on some girl that you fucked on the dance floor. i doubt she wanted to be the one there with you. if you know that jersey ppl go to nyc clubs, why did u write this post. your post states that if you think jersey clubbers are less trendy than nyc clubbers. am i right or wrong? personally i think your talking out of your ass. im just stickin up for clubkitty cause no girl she be spoken to in that way. and by the way you have no idea what your talking about magilicuti. And.......... THATS IT I'M DONE!
  18. whats up Roveen!!!!!!!! see you sunday @ luna chill sundays of course and bring kosta the electric slide mix. the dumb ass wants to hear it.lol this is kosta when he gets mad... this is me when kosta blows my head off... And........ Thats it I'm done!
  19. i guess all i can say is to dress for the occasion of new years eve. music all night by dj. nicky sibilia mixing house. if you need more info. just call 973.785.3222 or look at the first post on this thread, and you'll get a pretty good idea of whats going on that night.
  20. first off, people are trendy in their own right. its not whether your wearing armani or prada, that makes a person trendy. its HOW you wear the armani or prada that makes you trendy. i know a bunch of dorks that wear dkny, armani, prada, gucci, D+G. does that make them trendy: NO. They are still dorks. this whole jersey - new york thing is getting pretty fuckin old already. just because its easier to get the apparel or the latest in fashion in new york, does not mean i can't go to new york and get myself. i shop in jersey - garden state, short hills, but i also shop in the city frequently. ITS NOT ABOUT WHERE YOU LIVE THAT MAKES YOU TRENDY, ITS ABOUT WHO YOU ARE THAT WOULD MAKE YOU TRENDY. And.......... That's it I'm done.
  21. i think 9/11 attacks made a big difference on people not going to the city, it doesn't stop me though, but i really do not like going to the city as much as i used to. the only clubs i go to in the city is SF, FLOAT, AND SACI. plus people are taking hits on the money they have made, people have lost jobs, economy is another reason why people aren't going to the city.(just an opinion but kind of factual.) its alot cheaper just to stay local right now for alot of people. people don't have the money to burn like they used to. this is all because of the 9/11 attacks. Sad But True.
  22. i definitely agree with clubangel, almost every nyc hard house club is filled with people from jersey. no offense slyonspromos but when you say something think it out buddy.
  23. then i guess ill have a bottle waiting for you, and a bucket of ice for you to pour it in.
