  1. haha ...yes shelter is dope :)

was there til about 8am timmy was great ...i could tell u the songs he was playing but i wont....also ben johnson is the manager there...he opens up time to time...really fab dj there as well...plays with a bit more of an edge than the other shelters djs there....reuben mencia is a regular opener there as well hes ok but plays many of the songs that will be played later on in the nite....now i know the crowd changes thru out the nite but if you know the resident dj after you is gonna drop certain tracks and theres sooo much more music out there ...wouldnt you wanna play different tracks ????

now lets not spread the word too much....keep it underground LOL

    only for the TRUE househeads...

  2. first off ...jp ---> not diverse...doesnt really change up the styles

you want diverse hmmm not too many dj's doin it today last i heard a whole melting pot of music was dt at vinyl ( u heard deep u heard dark classics real classics, funk soul, tribal minimal tech u name u heard it)....secondly i love dt and miss him when he was comfortable at home but he his not like any other dj ...if you ever seen what he is actually doin up in that booth your jaw would drop ...looping 3 tracks layering them with an acapella taking time to do personal edits that no one has ...doing many many tricks with the cdjs and jam man etc and he knows how to program a nite of music this list goes on why do u think his love n passion for the music has inspired many many dj/producers in the world ...and hes considered the dj's dj

  3. ALOT of DJ's dont deseved to get booked if it was judged on their talent alone. Promoters bring DJ's in, that bring paying customers thru the door. That is why we get the same DJ's OVER and OVER again. NO ONE EVER takes a chance of a no name with better talent than someone else who is more popular.

amen to that ...sadly its more about draw these days than talent

  4. DEEPSPELL: PLEASE READ!!!

    To Whom It May Concern:

Please note that it is commonly stated that what you guys play sucks! We all love you, and support you, because we really like you (as people, not PEOPLE NYC), but we all hate what you play. Out of respect to you, no one wants to admit it, but its the most common comment when asked if anyone is going to one of your events. We support you guys, but please take this anonymous thought into consideration when planning out your next set (hopefully for this Friday at Element). No one wants to hurt your feelings and tell you, but this is the honest truth.

    Your Truly-

Someone who cares... about the music, not just you....

this is true for many people out there....lots of folks are too nice to say anything negative in fact ...i am one to speak my mind ...some people see it as "hating" but i know what pleases my ears and will totally give props when they are due ...but i'd say 70% of the time im disappointed ...in either the selection or the programmin or lack of flow ....or in consistency...but you should definately be more specific in your critique

  5. Well deserved Johnny!!!! He has been doing it longer and more consistent then any other American dj out there. the guy is just a machine.

    CONGRATS!!! :bounce:

now this is comedy ...umm there are djs out there for more than 30 years thank u ...who play all over the world and the us ..more so than jp

ps please try n refrain from using the word"classics" ...jp does nothing of the sort ..maybe sf classics...but they are only classics to them ..not the rest of the community
