You have to be kidding me.
Just my opinion, I know alot of Jersians made it their anthem,
but music was so bad in the last year I guess this just filled the void for them.

Yeah, I'd rather hear Kirk, I don't want to be in a trance
Why would I want to be in a trance?

Too many dreamers here

Is a good mix of this amateur piece of shite possible?
-
Can anyone posted here tell me why this board has lost all credibility?

Well you better get used to it - it is also coming to Jersey sooner than you think. I can't imagine walking out of a club not smelling like ass - I might even go buy new clothes to celebrate!

This would be proof that everone's ears are different - I never heard a Bose sysytem (not a home system) that sounded right to me - very muddy in the lows & a wierd plastic quality to the sound
but some swear by this Bose stuff - I owned 801 & 901 systems for DJing & they looked cool, but I hated the sound - I'm EAW now & very Happy (although my back hurts when I move them)
-
There are other ways to go other than Phazon, such as EAW & Turbosound that will give better bang for your buck, tho they are not cheap either, set up of the right stuff is more essential than a name brand anyway. I still like old school Sound Environments systems personally - Mike builds systems you can't kill, all custom cabinets & a three way crossover for the DJ to use & abuse

Most of these protesters do it because the think it's fashionable
We are fighting for peace, but they have to throw in oil as a reason, because they feel they have to hate Bush. They are simply not used to a president actually doing something
- protesters are a carry over from the Vietnam era, & I think they are still having flashbacks.
Hollywood by the way - what do they know about the real world? Shut the fuck up & dance, act or sing - you are an entertainer, not a philosopher

OSB .....how can u say promotion means nuttin for a place....listen man , if u promote then ur gonna get the word out , so in other words people will come .....and having bi name Dj's is a big help......some Dj's have followers and they will go wherever they are....for example tsettos has followers of his own, but th only promblem is that these guys didint promote well enoguhh for the word to get around..i mean for santana they used KTU about 20 times...and for tsettos not once ...i dunno man , u can think wutever u want but i think promotion and Dj's is everything....oh and dont forget atmosphere!!
Did you just say "Nuttin"? Are you gettin "Nuttin" For Christmas?

I disagree - this summer you can play polkas & they'll come to stand on the patio - look at the horrible entertainment at Bridgewater Manor (Hemingways) & that place is just as packed on a Thursday from Happy Hour thru the night - I know this is a differnet way of thinking for alot of people - just my opinion

all we were saying was that when it originally started up last year, the outside area didnt even exists, and it was still crowded inside. ..it wasnt always just an outside venue
Yes it was check! The outside was always open thru the old ownership

u guys would think that when you open up a new place with a certain vibe aka trying to be different from other clubs by promoting a "loungier" experience with better music, maybe you should give it a try for more than 2 weeks before selling out and doing something completely different.....
it takes time to promote a club and if you open up a place without having enough bankroll to tough out the first 2 months, then you shouldnt be opening up a club in the first place...youd prob do better with a hot dog cart selling $.25 sodas and stale weiners:rolleyes:
BG
They don't do it because it is a loser of an idea - plain & simple
Go into business to make money, not to be "cool"
There is not enought "cool" people to support this kind of thing, & If there is, they would only show occasionaly & then cry when it's gone. Seen this one before.

i agree, it was better then!
One thing is for sure - Shark Bar will get packed as soon as the weather breaks & the outdoor area opens
& It has nothing to do with who the DJ or who the "promoter" is, it is all about the outside area. Come late Sept, it will be all over, no matter who they try to book there. The owners should realize they don't need "promoters" taking their door. (notice I said their door). Some "venues" need "promoters" to run their "parties"
but a well run club doesn't need to sub out, they need their own promo team that works for the club, "not the promoters party"
What do I know anyway
BTW This post had more people than Thurs did w/ Denny

its pretty well known concept that Soundgarden doesnt utilize promoters....never has and never will. I am surprised someone with their ear to the ground like yourself didnt know that.....EVERYONE knows that......
That's why in the end SG will still be standing, because it wasn't SUCKED DRY by "promoters"

Let me rephrase myself.....jimmys is the biggest joke......."3 levels, 3 atmospheres"........yeah they all suck......when you leave the first shitty atmosphere you get kicked in the phase by the second one.....if you even make it to the third one you were already hit on by 5 400 pound hippos and the second playing of zombie nation......I would rather watch grass grow......
Zombie Nation?
