This would be proof that everone's ears are different - I never heard a Bose sysytem (not a home system) that sounded right to me - very muddy in the lows & a wierd plastic quality to the sound

but some swear by this Bose stuff - I owned 801 & 901 systems for DJing & they looked cool, but I hated the sound - I'm EAW now & very Happy (although my back hurts when I move them)

  2. There are other ways to go other than Phazon, such as EAW & Turbosound that will give better bang for your buck, tho they are not cheap either, set up of the right stuff is more essential than a name brand anyway. I still like old school Sound Environments systems personally - Mike builds systems you can't kill, all custom cabinets & a three way crossover for the DJ to use & abuse

  3. Most of these protesters do it because the think it's fashionable

We are fighting for peace, but they have to throw in oil as a reason, because they feel they have to hate Bush. They are simply not used to a president actually doing something

    - protesters are a carry over from the Vietnam era, & I think they are still having flashbacks.

Hollywood by the way - what do they know about the real world? Shut the fuck up & dance, act or sing - you are an entertainer, not a philosopher

I disagree - this summer you can play polkas & they'll come to stand on the patio - look at the horrible entertainment at Bridgewater Manor (Hemingways) & that place is just as packed on a Thursday from Happy Hour thru the night - I know this is a differnet way of thinking for alot of people - just my opinion

it takes time to promote a club and if you open up a place without having enough bankroll to tough out the first 2 months, then you shouldnt be opening up a club in the first place...youd prob do better with a hot dog cart selling $.25 sodas and stale weiners:rolleyes:

    BG

They don't do it because it is a loser of an idea - plain & simple

Go into business to make money, not to be "cool"

There is not enought "cool" people to support this kind of thing, & If there is, they would only show occasionaly & then cry when it's gone. Seen this one before.

i agree, it was better then!

One thing is for sure - Shark Bar will get packed as soon as the weather breaks & the outdoor area opens

& It has nothing to do with who the DJ or who the "promoter" is, it is all about the outside area. Come late Sept, it will be all over, no matter who they try to book there. The owners should realize they don't need "promoters" taking their door. (notice I said their door). Some "venues" need "promoters" to run their "parties"

but a well run club doesn't need to sub out, they need their own promo team that works for the club, "not the promoters party"

    What do I know anyway

BTW This post had more people than Thurs did w/ Denny

its pretty well known concept that Soundgarden doesnt utilize promoters....never has and never will. I am surprised someone with their ear to the ground like yourself didnt know that.....EVERYONE knows that......

That's why in the end SG will still be standing, because it wasn't SUCKED DRY by "promoters"

    Zombie Nation?
