  1. I can appreciate both. but going by my cd collection over the past 2 years, my preference is house. The way some miami djs play trance is a major buzz kill. I think the real ones like Edgar, Padilla & Acosta do a decent job. Some of these new local kids Ive heard lately, have the wrong idea I guess. Its good to hear trance done right by djs like Tiesto & PVD. those guys stand on a trance class of their own. They dont have too many others threatning to knock them off the top & they have stuck to their sound from the get-go. but if you ask me to choose I wouldnt hesitate. I choose house. :D

  2. Man oh man, i got to say that i dont agree with some of you here. I wasnt there to experience the red room at midnight but I can only imagine. It was a nice start by the dish, I thought. Arriving just before 2:00am, I walked in without an ounce of liqour and was looking to pace my self for a long night and day. The short haired one of the 2 dish boys was on when I arrived and i thought he set the mood right for a long set. Throwing down some hypno-melodic stuff that had me in it. Then the long haired one, Sharam I think, followed picking up the pace with more of a funky tech sound at times. Sometime in the night, I cant remember when, maybe about 4:00am I walked out onto the patio where Rollie was throwing things down. Some nice stuff, keeping me moving before he unloaded the heavy stuff around 5:00am. Incredible! I heard it all, proggressive a small dose of tribal and even some breaks. Kept it Proggressive mostly and changed it up nice. There was this one track that had this sick repetitive sound effect around 6:00am that was unreal. then he brought things down for Ivano. I am into what the lunar sesions has been doing. Biz and Rollie have really created an atmosphere out there on that patio. the fire girl out there was really cool. how does she hold that fire ball without getting burned? Sometime after 8:00am I decided it was time to hit the blue room again and sharam was handing it to the other dish. This is were I enjoyed most of their set. I ended up staying till about 10:00am with some old friends I ran into and had a great time. My feet were killing me, so it was time to hit the sack I thought and that I did as soon as I hit the back seat of my friends car and thats where it ended. Overall, the dish boys get an 8 of 10 rating but I have to say Rollie and lunar sesions was my highlight. Didnt get a t-shirt or anything, but i was schooled by some kick ass tunes.:D

  3. A few weeks ago i was at space and I heard this DJ Craig demo throw that track down. At first I thought he was trying to be creative dropping the missy on top of dark beat. It was the first time I heard it done that way and I found it weird. It was definately off beat and did not sound good. but I gave the guy creativity points for trying. Now I find out it is a complete remixed version of the track. Craig do yourself a favor and dont drop that track again. :blown:

  4. I frequent space about twice a month. This saturday I happened to come by early to catch OG & Roland. We arrived around 12:30 to find a big crowd outside in line. to get right to the point, we ended up at the front of the line at about 5 after 1. there was 3 of us & I had my space card handy. My girl's sis kindly addressed doorman about her name on the list and that we had been in line for sometime, etc. etc. but was pretty much ignored. It would have been easy for my girl and I to walk in with my card and have her sis pay the cover but based on the treatment & lack of respect we recieved from the guy at the door we decided to leave and spend the early part of the night at crobar. I understand there are rules to follow as a club employee, but I believe these rules dont state that errogance is or should be a a part of the norm. the funny thing is that mysteriously after 1 the line suddenly picked up its pace. dissapointing

  5. you all are putting in cedric gervais?? i think you guys dont give a rats about that room up there. so it doesnt matter who you put in. Im willing to bet that was a crobar decision and not your own. last time i was there Juan was playing for 20 people. Give those guys some promotion up there if you care so dearly about more than just hip hop.

  6. looks like I'll be poppin into Rain this Friday. It will be my first time there on a friday, but I have a feeling i wont be dissapointed. Deep/Soulful works for me!

  8. I wasnt there this saturday, but Rolie tears it up and never dissapoints. I took a break from the main room madness and was in the patio for his set the weekend of deep dish. Haven't been back to space ever since though, but I will be there for the second year anniversary party.:D
