  1. The punishment fit the crime. If Spree got a year off for choking his coach, I think Artest got off light for pummeling a fan. Especially because it was the wrong guy. Thats called criminally negligent assault last time I checked. He's an ass. Too bad he is one of the most complete players in the L. Stephen Jackson should have suffered the same penalty. O'niell got burned though. I have no problem w/ a player laying out a guy on the court. 10 games max. I am still confused why they gave Wallace 6 games. I have seen players do much worse in retaliation to a cheap foul, and they recieved no more than 3 games.
  2. Grant Hill is alive and well in Orlando ! It deff doesn't look like he hasn't played in 4 years.
  3. How did they ruin bball ? Those games in the 90's were battles.
  4. Well hopefully for them, those 2 can get along. Peja should be better this year. I think putting the team on his back for the last 2 seasons (while Webb was hurt) kills him come playoff time. Hopefully, the full summer's worth of rest has done him solid. Vlade will be missed. He was one hell of a passing center. I dunno too much abt Tag, except that he was whipping boy for everything that was ever wrong w/ the Jazz for almost a decade. I guess I'll wait and see before I judge him.
  5. Sac is also my favorite west coast team. I really hope Peja stays. Wow, we actually agree on something. lol.
  6. He wasn't hurt in 1994, just 1999. They would have been there a few more times if not for the yearly suspensions when they played the Heat.
  7. He had the back injury before he was traded. He was awesome w/ Charlotte and was getting better every year before the injury. U really have something against the Knicks, huh ?
  8. Shandon is the worst piece on that club dude. If I have to watch him race down the court (fast as hell) to end up hitting the BOTTOM of the rim one more time I'll be sick. He wouldn't be bad if he stuck to what he excells at Defense ! What goes over in Denver, doesn't fly here in NY man. Dolan would never authorize a complete dismantling like u are asking for. Not that it would be an entirely bad idea. They got Norris for Weatherspoon. U weren't gonna get much more for him. We got Thomas for Van Horn. That was a lateral trade in my oppinion. and there is nothing wrong w/ Crawford. The guy is coming into his own and can get nothing but better under the guidance of the staff in NY. The jury is still out on Steph, but bringing him home excited the hell out of fans and put asses in empty seats. The NBA is still a business and that was a good business move. I enjoyed the hell out of the bad boys, just like I loved the NY and Miami teams from the 90s. Alot of people miss that kind of hardnosed bball these days. When I hear people bitch abt bball its always about how the game has gone "soft" and there aren't enough bangers. By the way, the L got back at Isaih and left him off the dream team, didn't they ?
  9. what are u talking abt ? lets look at the last 20 years......... 2003 - Lebron 2002 - Yao Ming 2001 - Kwame Brown * 2000 - Kenyon Martin 1999 - Elton Brand 1998 - Michael Oliwakandiass * 1997 - Tim Duncan 1996 - Allen Iverson 1995 - Joe Smith * 1994 - Glenn Robinson 1993 - Chris Webber 1992 - Shaq 1991 - Larry Johnson 1990 - Derrick Coleman * 1989 - Pervis Elison * 1988 - Danny Manning 1987 - David Robinson 1986 - Brad Dougherty * 1985 - Ewing only 6 out of 19 of these guys didn't live up to their potential.
  10. everybody had him at #1 that year dude. I'm not saying MJ wasn't lacking in skillz to be GM though. U really need to stop shitting on Isiah though man. He did an excellent job in Indy and he is doing the best he can w/ the shit he was handed here in NY. What else could he have done better ? Were there any available deals he missed ? I don't think so, and I follow the Knicks like it was religion !
  11. and the newest member of the wasted talent pool is...............Kwame Brown. This kid will never live up to his potential.
  12. In the NY Post and Daily News today, Tim Thomas is calling out Kenyon Martin to step in the ring w/ him for a boxing match. Kenyon said last year that he would welcome being locked in a room w/ Thomas to see who would come out. This is a quote from todays Post.......... "What he said was for the papers," Thomas said. "I already told him, you want to see me, let's do it in the ring so everybody can see it. Enough talk. I'm not looking forward to fighting Kenyon on the court, throw one punch, the rest of the teammates are around. I'm looking forward to somebody promoting it, gloves on. So everybody can see what's going to happen." Just for the hell of it, if this did come about, who do you all think would win ?
  13. Derrick Coleman. I can't believe so many clubs have been fooled by this career underachiever.
  14. 1st of all dude, lay off the pipe. We are talking abt the Knicks, not the Bulls. They should deff make the playoffs. Isaih went after most of the free agents out there but w/ the pieces he had to trade, Crawford was the best free agent he could get. He got Marbury last year, drafted Ariza, and put some life in an otherwise dead club. Now players around the L actually want to play for NY. They are a real lunchpail group this year, kinda like the NBA champs. Their only competition in the newly structured Atlantic division was the Nets but they killed themselves in the off season. Who is going to beat them in that division ?
