Me and 3 other friends went down to the Beach this past weekend from Chicago thinking it would be like a ghetto jail house BET rap video scene. And guess what, it sort of was. But I have to be honest, the rap convention enhanced our vacation. We feed off the energy in the air and definitly dug those beautiful ghetto diamonds walking around half naked. We had no problems, no threats and didn't see any trouble. Then came the clubs which were off the hook! Erik Morillo was incredible, me and my friends partied like rock stars. Unfortunetly I can't say the same about Waxman. The DJ simply playing raw cuts at the Delano was better. Major props to the Bartender at the Delano for selling bottles of Champagne for $30 as opposed to the $150 and to Gay Joy at Crobar for hooking us up with all access passess. We had a great time. To those of you that suggested we cancel our trip because of the rap convention I say: lighten up, chill out, go with the flow and embrace differences. To all of you on this message board, remember: HOUSE MUSIC WAS INVENTED IN CHICAGO!!!
