  1. I am really bummed that all my loves will be playing at the sports arena, that venue really sucks, and is always a zoo. I dont mind partying with 18y/o's, but you really have to have your event properly organized. I always leave feeling like I overpaid to walk way to far, and be stuck in a hot, sweaty mess of people who are on so much shyt they cant even be social.

And I like house, but not enough to go to an event that is primarily that, GIANTs' event only has MSTRKRFT for me, I am not a real big fan of Tiesto. I've seen him twice, and both times I thought "nice audio visual show" but I want to get my groove on.

Boo hoo hoo, can I get some cheese with my "whine" ? hehehehe ;)

The two years I went it was actually either damp or cold. Outside (which was amazing) I was freezing. Inside upstairs was cold, downstairs was on the chill to average level. It was never a crowded mess and actually was less empty that a sporting event. Huge empty areas were everywhere. I remember sitting down on the floor inside one of the rooms and having a chat with teenagers that drove in from some neighboring state and we just all sat there with no one else around us and the dj playing about 30 feet away, like someone's living room.

There is one part of the night for about 2 horus the main floor gets crowded, no more than a night at Avalon or similar. But that was it. The rest of the night was very spacious everywhere.

I might go there this year myself.

For the walking to the car, yeah, one year we parked an eternity - it was crazy. But the next 1-2 years I went I just forced my ass into the closer lots despite what secuirty said because there were spots there.

well thanks for wanting me, but u see im different. Im 15 years old, and i have never been to a single club in my life. So i really dont belong on these forums, i belong with other people like me, and i hav found no1 under 18.

  3. I'm starting in a new career. Last year I was doing a job selling medical discount plans that was good for people who couldn't afford regular health insurance, but it was a limited plan with limited benefits, that fell far short of actual health insurance (they had discounted products packaged along with certain insured products, but it wasn't a full insurance policy amd we didn't advertise or sell it as such. But I always disliked that it was less than what I wished I could do for people, even those who couldn't afford more, but I never considered actually doing more and selling actual insurance with actual insurance companies.

But yet I had wanted to feel good doing more, selling more, offering more, helping more, etc, I just never wanted to be an actual health insurance agent. My mother was a health insurance agent for many years before she died and I'd never expected I'd ever follow in her footsteps. But with my resume on Monster and Careerbuilder listing my various sales experience and mentioning the medical discount plan operation, it led to my being contacted by several insurance companies. One thing led to another things just sort of fell into place, and after being interviewed and offered jobs by 2 health and life insurance companies, I decided that this was where my path was taking me after all, and I finally comitted myself.

So I accepted a job with the 2nd company, studied for a few weeks waiting for the state to give me the exam, and got my insurance license last Friday and started my new job yesterday with the south Florida office of a national PPO.

Are there any more insurance agents in CP land? Do you like what you're doing?

    Congrats.

  4. okokok you all know i'm the scumfrog's biggest fan; he even makes this strict grammarian speak gibberish 00009157.gif . as some of you may have read in the meetup thread:

    http://bbs.clubplanet.com/los-angeles/329822-meetup-time-scumfrog-standards-daytime-pool-party-sun-8-19-a.html

i made a shirt last time i saw him that read "bacon": the title of my favorite track of his. it's a silly duet w/ lucy woodward in which bacon is a metaphor (seriously. did you think the song is really about bacon?). it's got a dirty bassline and is ridiculously fun, but it is slower than most of his stuff.

i wrote him an e-mail the other day explaining that i was the one wearing that shirt last time out here and said that he had told me to remind him before his set next time 'round, so he could play it.

he wrote back within a few hours (!!!!!! :spin2:) to say that he remembers me :bounce: but that he'd "NEVER played that song at a gig." it is a strange song and something not everyone would really appreciate; i know 8.gif . but he did promise to have it at the ready and try to throw it in.

i won't copy the letter, as it was for me, but he did end it with "I will grow big balls and try to use them....in the name of bacon."

yes, one of these days i'll have to ask him why he calls himself the scumfrog  .

    nice!

  5. what's up lalate???

check out cinespace on the weekends, my ex is spinning there on the reg i believe

hey babydoll. how you been? thats coo. I CANT do Cinespace anymore lol because it wont compare to two years ago. We had our own major sized booth, all my friends would roll into it for free with me, 3 bottles, and I would just holla to any hottie to join me in their. It was great times. It only went down a few weeks but my god, the stuff that went down in that simple spot - scandaluuus.

  6. booooooooooo  !!!!!!!

ok, they've been only saying "armin and friends" for months now, and now that they've announced who else will be there, i've determined that armin has crappy friends. i hate armin passionately, but i thought i'd go to giant village anyway 'cause they'd have other djs that'd be good and it's a fun, night, outdoor party. but the only dj worth seeing there is desyn masiello, and i'm not shelling out $45 for him 7.gif .

what a disappointment!!! and it's funny, too, that giant has an event at vanguard that night. i wonder if they're doing that as a backup 'cause the village has a piece o' shit lineup.

'you know what this town needs? a frikkin' HOUSE block party!!! and i do think that could be a success. l.a. is not owned by trance... i hope someone gives that a shot sometime soon  .

If I want to hear Armin, Id hear him out of town for less than $20. Not $45.

  7. other way around charlie..

i like to see the points you have to back up your statement

Currently low level offenders because of jail overcrowding serve 10% of their sentence in custody and the remainder in home detention. Highest level offenders serve 100% in custody. Thats existing policy of the Sheriffs Office who exclusively - not with the courts - run the jails.

Hilton was a low level offender should have spent 5 days in custody, 40 days in home detention, to be in accordance with current Sheriff policies regarding inmates.

Instead, this judge today took away the Sheriffs exclusive control over LA jails, ran it from his bench, changed the current policy giving Hilton a longer term in custody, and said she would treated the same as a serious offender.

She deserved/deserves to be in jail 5 days, 10% of her sentence. Not 45.

Everything just written above to you was explained today by Lee Baca.
