  1. For future reference: not Atlantic City Maybe I got spoiled watching them last year from a NYC apartment right on the water and being less than a mile away though. I have a feeling that no place in NJ comes close.
  2. Back from AC. The parkway had heavy traffic at 4AM. Sheesh! Everything was packed there. We stopped by Borgata maybe 1AM or so. We walked by and heard the music thumping and knew we had found Mixx. No cover. Sweet! We get inside and there are two people playing Samba and regular drums live. It was a cool effect having it add to the bass line. The place was pretty crowded, but it was definitely not the same crowd as a night in Seaside. There was lots of standing on the dance floor and not as much high energy dancing. It was July 4th though so maybe it was different. I'd go again if I'm in the area, but I don't think I'd pass by Seaside to go clubbing in AC instead. It was good to see though. It looks like the sun came up. Time for bed.
  3. I hit XS for the first time this summer on Saturday. Music was great and the promoters really did an outstanding job getting people in (almost too good, you could barely walk anywhere!). It was also one of the best looking crowds that I've seen at the shore. I also learned something. If something cool is raining down on you on the dance floor, don't open your mouth thinking it must be snow. Damn soap.
  4. I've always wanted to check out Borgata. Sounds cool. I'll check it out. Thanks!
  5. I'm going to be in AC this Sunday hoping to see some good fireworks and party it up. Any good clubs I should check out in the area? Anything special going on that I should know about?
  6. Looking for a fun hip hop club Sat night. Needs to be ladies 18+, have a good dance floor, and have room to sit too (not just bottle service only). Eugene's is great, but I think they're 21+ (let me know if otherwise). Thanks.
  7. Angie Martinez The beginning of the lyrics kind of sound like it, but I listened to a clip and what I heard definitely didn't have the rap parts by different people. It was all a guy singing. Maybe this Angie song samples the one I'm thinking of?
  8. Latin song with lyrics like "Miami","Cabana","Old Cabana" I think. Played at Deko last night. Thanks.
  9. I grew up watching Jack Tripper
  10. I thought a girl was singing. But it may well be that one. Lots of by that point...
  11. I can't believe this song actually worked, but it did! Who played it? What mix was it?
  12. I'm a Jersey boy and I'm often at Abyss or Bunka or down the shore. Believe it or not, I've never been clubbing in NY though. Well, I'm going to be in New York celebrating a birthday and afterwards a few of us wanted to hit a club. Ideally, it would be great to find a place with a trance and a hip hop floor (somethin' for everyone; even my multiple club personalities ). Any info you can provide would be great (cover, dress, who's spinning, general vibe, stories, whatever). Thanks!
