I think all you Jp fans must remember one thing. In the beginning Jp's music sounded alot like Juniors. I know Jp & i also know Junior. JPeters used to goto Twilo * when Junior spun there. He admires Junior's music. SO maybe if you can stop & think for a minute & you want to hear some amazing trance and house music , come to SF saturday night. ANd hear the Legendary JUNIOR vaSQUEZ , I garuntee you will like it.

Junior played pretty well. The crowd was big, would have been bigger if It was an announced party. I think this party will probably be the best one in NYC in a couple of weeks. Just think : Victor at Crobar then off to SF for Junior. It doesnt get any better than this.

I went to AVALON (Limelight) last Sunday, Manny Lehman was DJing...It was awesome. The sound system is great, The people were fun..Great party. And I have been going out a long time. Just try to go out And enjoy yourself instead ofcriticizing a club you have never been to. And I were you I'd go on a sunday night

They had backdoor bambi at discotecthe a while ago with the people from Crobar, it was amazing! It doesnt sound like mid-october is going to happen though, but I wish u luck!!!

O.k. Heres what I heard, Crobar.....was supposed to open in sept....didn't happen. Now they're saying maybe oct. I think probably by thanksgiving. At this point who knows. Junior Sanchez:dont know anything about him. JUNIOR VASQUEZ does not have a weekly residency anymore. O.k. I know you all want Limelight back. But the problem is Peter Gatien(original owner of limelight) is deported back to Canada. The days of the dark superclub are over. Owners of these clubs cannot afford to let there be an open atmosphere like that of Palladium & Twilo. THe closest thing to an open atmosphere is ROXY on saturday nights, thats about the only club that you can stil hear great music and have that dark club atmosphere. (Peter RAuhofer) Limelight will re-open as Avalon or spider and will not draw the crowds of old. How many people went when it re-opened last time? ? ?? I did but I doubt any of you did. AS for all the hubub about Crobar......It will not be what everyone expects. Every moron and his brother will be tring to get in. And the only night that will be good will be Sunday nights (Victor Calderone). The door should be intresting. ANd last but not least SPirit. I cannot give an honest opinion about a club that doesnt exsist yet. I talked to a person whos been in the club world since the "First soundfactory/Twilo" exsisted. ANd he said that it wont be anything like TWILO. So I really dont know what to expect. These clubs wil probably not open until november anyway. I hope that something new comes along and rocks the club world. we need it.

Stop pretending you have inside info on anything. Obviously You have not been to either of these places. If your in california , you cant be here. Stop saying you have been inside Spirit & Crobar. I know you have not.

June 22 came and went ANd "spirit" isn't open. whats up with that.

Junior is much better. He is an unbelievable producer , remixer...DJ. As for a residency, Hes had like 8 MAJOR, successful residencys. Unfortunately EXiT will make alot of people forget about his days @ Palladium, Tunnel, Twilo(originally Soundfactory) Junior of course. Vic calderone Peter Rauhofer these guys can maybe hold a candle to him

I think its a temporary monthly thing for him until he figures out WHATS NEXT IN NYC!!?!

O.k. THis is What I have heard. Not 1 but 2 spaces are opening up on 27th Street. Crobar & Spirit (formerly TWILO) I heard that SPiriT was supposed to be opening up soon. ANd Crobar is having problems, but should be opened by september. Junior just picked up a monthly residency at "coliseum" in Ft. LAuderdale for the summer, which means he won't be back in NYC until the fall at best. I have a feeling that he will be back. I don't know if he will ever have a weekly residency anywhere after the Exit tabacle. Unfortnately EARTH didn't work out for many reasons. THier overly aggressive security isn't the only factor. The days of the Super-club are dead. EXit, Twilo, Tunnel ,Limelight,Palladium are all casualties. Only a handful survived. THe best party I've been to besides Juniors special EARTH Parties this year were the "VIctor Calderone " party @ hammerstein & Peter Rauhofer & ROXY. I think that maybe the best thing for Junior to do is to have a few parties a year or try to pick up a monthly residency At Crobar , spirit or Roxy. I miss the old days at PALLADIUM. If you could somehow bring that party back then things would change for the better. Junior IS the best D.J. out there.(I think anyway) and his resilency is amazing. He does bring a pissy attitude sometimes and many of his 'outside his realm' ventures have failed but I must say there have been some great moments. in Miami for instance he was amazing last time. I don't think that exit is primarily gay.I think it is like 65% gay and the rest straight on sunday mornings and he plays hard house music that is appealing to people who like to dance. Your focus on whether he's playing for the straight crowd or the gay crowd @ this point is pointless. If you remember @ Twilo the crowd was EXTREMEMLY mixed, straight, gay , female, whatever.....and it rocked, The only all gay venue superclub is Roxy and thier D.J.s are at best OK ever since Vic Calderone left (an extremely talented DJ) so, I think that Junior isnt a sell out. i think he is tring to become more marketable musically. The emphasis on being underground at this point is minimal considering his above average mixing and producing skills I.E. justin timberlakes new song on KTu all the time...remix by Junior V., Do i think his radio show will last ? That is a great questions because the arguement is in your eyes is whether or not hos music caters to one group more than another at this point......we shall see. He still remains to me to be a pleasure on my eardrums. No one is even close to him. He fucking rox!!!! –B- :laugh:

I understand all that...and it was quite an impressive light show ...BUT....that wasn't what i was talking about. I just hear alot of negativity lately about clubbing. juNIOr is still rocking and there arent many appropriate venues for Djs like him to spin at but right now exit & this week roxy will have to do. So all im saying is that people should try to bring that POSITIVE VIBE that used to be out there. I mean if we (the clubbers) are dissing it......its only going to get worse. --B---- :laugh: :eek:

Let me tell all you people something. Junior is probably the best house music D.J. ever. He's making a "career move" going to "KTU" . granted ExiT aint Palladium or Twilo, (twilo was a dump by the way) but if we all remember correctly, we go out to hear the music...dance our asses off and be amongst our friends. All of a sudden, people like18- 22 years old are talking about how good Twilo or Palladium were. You have no idea!!!!!! you were 14-15 yrs old when that was open. 1996-2000 were probably the best years for house music so far, try talking positive about the parties and maybe bringing a positive vibe , instead of a ton of drugs. It was never about the drugs. Its about the music & "JUNIOR" is the most entertaining D.J. I have ever seen & I've been everywhere. NYC is where its at and always will be.Give Junior a chance and he will rock your body, gay, straight,black, white, red , yellow. etc. Fight for your right to party. B-

Junior will be back at Exit for "THE DARK BEAT PARTY" its a party that lasts all day sunday..anyone who has ever been to a real JUNIOR party(Arena, Twilo or this past New Years @ Exit) knows he will turn the party out. He is by far the best NYC D.J. , come check it out.....you won't be dissapointed.
