  1. I like LOVE also. but i don't think it's laid out correctly. that one room with all the black lights and funky paint is kind of unnecessary imo. but the sound is AWESOME!
  2. Hi all! I haven't posted here in a loooooooong time. Believe it or not, I've been a member since 2002. So I am not a newbie; I just don't seem to have time to post much these days. But I know how tight msg board crews can be and I don't want anyone thinking I'm trying to jump in out of nowhere. I saw someone's thread about the trendy places requiring bottle/table service and felt the need to open my mouth. Anyway, Have you guys been to Element yet? I started doing a party there recently and the place is just amazing. And yeah, of course I want to promote my party but that's not what I am making this thread. Whether you go for my party or someone else's, you need to check this venue out! I think it's the best club in the city right now. The decor is gorgeous and the staff is super friendly. You don't need to dress up or know somebody special or throw money around - everyone who goes there wanting to dance and listen to music will get in. But if you want bottle service, you can get it. And it's nicer than most of those trendy places. They give you FRESH fruit with your bottles, not just a cranberry and orange juice. Actually, maybe other places do that - tbh, I don't go to super trendy places. LOL. I just think the fresh fruit is cool. The sound system is also great, along with the people. They don't draw a big walk in crowd so it's mostly all people coming specifically for that night's event. You don't have to deal with a bunch of drunk idiots who just stumbled in to cause trouble. Check out these pics and see for yourself. The images posted below are from their saturday night party when it gets packed. Friday's are not so busy. If you want to see more pics of the interior/exterior, check out this album on Photobucket: ELEMENT - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting And hey, if you're free on 9/15 and just want to rock out to some good house music, I incl. my party details at the bottom of this post. Either way, hope to see you on the dance floor soon! xoxo Bree ------ On Friday, September 15th 1 Love presents our first TAG TEAM DJ BATTLE with special guest KAI! 3. thanks for the compliment on my avatar. my brother designed it for me. it's actually my wallpaper but i resized it. there def are a lot of awesome NYCP peeps, I just feel like the people who were once ONE crew are now a bunch of smaller crews. But we are all still cool... I mean, hey, most people in the scene feel the love, you know? music brings us together.
  4. i have to agree with Damon, even though i don't know all of you. But i've been on CP for years [lurking] and miami is definitely tight. NYCP used to be a crazy close family with meetups and whatnot but things changed.... props to you all for staying a family!
  5. pvd rocked. used to be my fav DJ and then he disappointed a few times and i moved away from him. but on friday he reminded me why i have traveled across oceans and times zones for him, why i even got in this scene in the first place. amazing night and great set by mr. mathias paul.
  6. you're probably right... but NYC needs Markus as well. I'd love if it he had a residency in new york... markus is such a great DJ! [anyway, i feel for you]
  7. it's Paul van Dyk...not DykE i am sure there will be lines and all that BS. yuck. but i'm going anyway... wth!
  8. I played lotto today..If I win, I am certainly paying. If I can get my Dad to throw me 3 tickets instead of two, you are invited. I was born in Germany and my Dad lives there, so we just might be able to hook something up. I'm talking late december here...if I somehow miss that, it's happening after New Years. As for the song, it was probably around midnight or so. It was earlier on. Like I said, he played it at the Roxy AND Arc. I put the playlists into excel to see the dupes and I have narrowed it down to five possibilities. However, I can't get them on WinMx or Kazaa and I guess I am going to shut the hell up for tonight and start the search tomorrow. Umm...if you are serious about Berlin, drop me a line. The more the merrier.
  9. Hi everyone! The crowd was awesome at Arc last night, it was great to see all the love there. I have never seen PVD so happy and laid back. I think he was really in his groove and I had a great time. but enough of that, I think we can all agree that he knows how to connect with the crowd and play an awesome set. Here are my questions: 1) Where can I get a playlist? Sorry if someone already posted a link, I am at work and don't have time to read all the posts. 2) at Roxy and last night, he played a track I don't know, but loved. I THINK there were words like "you're mama's alright, your daddy's alright" does this make any sense? I could be a complete idiot here. If anyone knows what the hell I am referring to, please help me out. 3) Who has seen PVD at home? I am (hopefully) checking him out in Berlin and Munich in December. Me thinks seeing him in his homeland has got to be amazing. Thanks, everyone! I am sure I saw a bunch of you last night..I thought everyone was having a great time. I danced till my legs wouldn't work and then hung out on a speaker. Nice system at ARc....
  10. I have barely recovered from the religious experience of seeing PVD on Friday and now I get a second spinning? I am so in love...and amazed. This guy is the real thing. I don't care if I am late to work or have to wait in line. I thought 50 bucks was well worth it, ten dollars is ..is..well, there just aren't any words. See you all there. And hey, is Arc only open 10-2 on Monday? It's PVD the whole time? I wonder how early I should get there... Any suggestions? Thanks all!
  11. I can't believe i missed two hours! i was so damn exhausted from halloween. where is PVD next? anyone going to deep dish?
  12. Hey, what time did PVD wrap it up? I left @ 6 and he was still going strong. Who stayed? I HATED to leave...
