  4. I have live cds of his level sets aand i must say they are nothin like the sets from club spin or various partys around the world. I definitly believe because of level although i may be wrong they probally wanted a more mainstream sound! perfect example i can see johnny vicious in nyc and hear him rip the roff off roxy but when he plays a mainstream club such as club abyss in jersey its more mainstream vocs i can see boris rip up discotheque than play a venue that demands a more mainstream influence. As far as him not changin his stlye GA is a proud to be trance DJ but lets be honest does PVD play for an angel still?? or Im alive?? of course he does... whats wrong with some classics thrown in has pvd drastically changed his sound and style? Will Danny Tenaglia sell out and turn his back on Deep nyc house? whats most important is these guys all have there very own sound! thats hard in electronic music as much as people bash oakie these days theres no denying you can identify a oakie tune within 30 seconds ...By the way im not a closed minded tranzhead i respect all forms of electronic music From mauro to JP tsettos ojeda oscar roland edgar eddie g vic dinair shawn ink danny howells etc as long as its good who gives fuck
  5. But how do you explain that in places like Dc, NYC, LA, and international gigs like germanys love parade and ibiza???? he draws big crowds .... Miami should be proud of the fact that they produced the best trance DJ in america who single handly changed the face of dance music in south florida in the 90"s and who imported the harder german trance sound that put miami on the map! and made shadow legendary! ill tell you one thing you"ll never hear NY"s disrespect Danny Tenaglia, Junior Vasquez the way miami trashes GA .... who"s next guys roland? edgar? oscar? Be proud of the talent you got and respect your roots
  6. He will continue to play trance...And your right when he plays nyc, boston, dc, LA, san fran, he totally packs the clubs i also believe level hurt his reputation i got plenty of live sets from level and they are way more mainstream than his sets from dc,club spin, and shadow, also his live sets are very different whenever i burn a new one that i find on kazaa or win mx..as far as european trance being dead i got to disagree PVD, Tiesto, AVB, Ferry, are still the biggest names in the industry right now
  7. Just wanted to let some ny/nj transplants that scream about how much trance sux and house is what rules ny/nj are getting way out of touch with there old scene i f you check the nyc message board thread about Acosta playing club deep you"ll see he got over 500 views and 2 pages of replys....When AVB, PVD, Ferry, Tiesto, play they get the largest audience as well...When edgar v played here in nyc he got a great turn-out @ arc and got a great response the arc crowd loved him....Unfortunatly the house parties are dying JP @ sf is goin down the tubes he plays tons of filler for a bunch of 16 yr olds on crystal meth...Exit is hip hop on fri ..latin on sat.. Roxy is only doing bi-monthly parties with Johnny vicious.. Avalon (old limelight) is bringin in mostly trance djs..Sat @ arc are either trance or techno...so the only party still goin strong is tenaglia be yourself fri @ arc...Discotheque brings in Quality house as well Boris, Ojeda, and shaun ink but thats about it
  8. Exit is beyond done!!! im shocked its still open..From what ive heard SF has alot of asains hitting jps party now that exit is finished...Also when i go to arc its usually 30% asain...But look at how many people replied to your post only 2 of us so that right there should show you how finished exit is....What a waste of space they coulda done so much with that club
  9. If you never saw Acosta in a small venue you have no clue to what your missing the last 3 years he"s come to nyc he usuall played the superclubs exit,sf,world, etc So this should be great seeing him in a small venue i saw him @ club spin on nye in fla and he tore the roof offf that fuckin place
  10. 18 + partys are not good and the reason why is when its 18+ you get alot of 16 and 17yr olds...When the police ar by the club and see a 16 yr old rolling @ 4:00am this is what brings on the heat...besides there are plenty of 18+ partys this city has to offer you got roxy, arc, sf, etc ....this city desperatly needs a 21+ party
  11. I hope its true...or it looks like acosta hasnt updated his tour section on his site in a while
  12. im from nyc I totally agree with you miami is and has been a great town for music so much talent Edgar, oscar, roland, george acosta, eddie g, i flew down for New years eve and had the great pleasure of satrting w/ george @ club spin than spaces beautiful patio for afterhours the people were mad cool and the vibe in both clubs ruled i could give a fuck if some one spins house trance or techno if its good they get my respect!!!!!
  13. I live in nyc and the house scene has gotten extremly stale Look at the attendance and crowd at SF on sat nights in 98-00 jp was off the hook and created one of the best partys in ny. now that place sucks no one goes anymore except 17 yr old crystal meth heads JP"s stlye and music is nowhere as exciting and groundbreaking as back in the day. Tsettos pulls a decnt crowd at temps but attendance there is down big time who wants to hear 5 yr old vox and boring tribal. Exit is a fuckin joke its horrible there attendance is so bad i have no clue how they stay open!!! Tunnel is closed junior v has no residency!!!cpi"s is done after labor day. Float brought richie rydell in back in feb and people were standing like zombies!!! super clubs are done ...people are goin to roxy (trance nights are packed beyond belief when pvd, tiesto, armin vb, ferry corsten, etc play) Arc has the best vibe and most energy and the best talent!!! look at there residents Danny tenaglia, Danny howells, Vic Dinair, Mauro picotto, John flemming, saeed and phalash etc and get great guests i saw edgar v, nu-nrg, and vic dinair last sat the party was off the hook i havent seen that much dancing & energy in years! so it looks like trance is gaining and drawing much bigger crowds than house right now ...as far as no miami dj having a following mad heads were at arc supporting edgar last sat. and when George acosta comes to town there are people from boston to washington dc to see him he packed out soundfactory in march and then packed out exit in may which no nyc dj has done in the last 3 yrs except when JP does classic nights @ sf
  14. Oh stop whining unless you grew up in the 80"s and early 90"s you have no clue how much better off this city is and i give the credit to giuliani During the crack years 87-93 there was an average of 2200 murders per year in nyc the murder rate in 2003 is the lowest in 35 years we average 550 murders in a city of 8 million people ...you think this city looks fucked up now why dont you rent some old school movies from the 70"s and 80"s especially fort apache the bronx , taxi driver, the warriors, beat street, etc the bronx looked like iraq after the war so did brooklyn 42nd street was straight up danger!!! hookers crack dealers muggers perverts and psychos is now family entertainment bryant park which is now beautiful was one of the biggest drug spots in the city alphabet city was the heroin capital of america extremly dangerous now its filled with boutiques and $1500 studio apartments its now called the lower east side Harlem had every other building burnt out in that neighborhood it was filled with crack houses now they have major shopping centers and renovated buildings the same goes for park slope williamsburg jamaica violent crime is down by 70 %!!!!!!! assaults rapes robberies etc ....nyc is way better now than then...dont get me wrong bloomberg is reversing alot of giulianis policys that cleaned up this city so i do understand your point
