Though this is a clothing store and not a club, this Saturday night from 6-9, it will certainly be transformed into a club. Jumping on the VMA bandwagon and also showcasing our new fall line, we would like to invite everyone for an event that will feature a house dj, DJ JOJO, goody bags from ghiradheli (sp?), 10% of regular price in the store and 20% off the shoe store next to us (forgot the name). Also, I am not 100% sure this is going to happen and was told not to say anything unless we were sure, but we might be giving away wristbands for complimentary admission to Amika until 1:00am that night.
So please come in and shop, eat or mingle. Even if you don't like the clothes, come in and say hi.
Club Monaco is located next to Senor Frogs between 6th and 7th on Collins Avenue. Hope to see you there.

So, since my weekend consisted of all work and no play, the only thing that was interesting that happened was that the guy called me last night. One might think the conversation was awkward, but it was the total opposite. It was indeed a very nice, interesting and quite frankly a refreshing conversation. I am trying to persuade him to come down, however definately not for labor day. But it figures, I am in one state and any guys I am interested in has to be in another. Never fails.

Yes I know it's late,but I have been EXTREMELY busy. Anyway this is my weekend in Chicago review.
Friday - arrived at 7:30 pm. Went back to p's house and got ready right away to go to my best friend's apartment to preparty. Went to Sound Bar to hear Zabiela and had a BLAST! We get in right away because we are great friends with the promoters The vibe was mediocre to good. In the beginning we just stood around and chatted, when I really wanted to dance but it was so good to see a lot of my friends there. Brought back memories. We made our way to the dancefloor, which this was my first time there and the place was nice. Sound system was incredible...a little too loud but very clear. Well Zabiela was on point. He played a lot of hard hittin tracks as well as some electro. I was very very impressed with his set. It packed the place, well at least that room, with everyone's hands in the air and fists pumpin. Left at around 3:30 and went to order something to eat and went to friend's place. Got home around 6:30.
Saturday - woke up 2 hours later only to get a pedicure (the message chair soothed my hangover), manicure and my hair cut/highlighted. Went to my cousin's grad party where I saw ALL of my family in one place. It was good times. Drank some tasty beverages. Went to brother's place for block party then took cab to downtown to meet up with my other group of best friends for a bachelorette party. Drank some more and got really wasted. Left for Vision to hear Oliver Ho, who was also kickin ass with some hard banging choons. Saw some more of my friends. Took cab back.
Sunday - woke up 2 hours later with a hangover and had to get to the airport for my flight left at 1:30 pm. Got stuck in the plane for 9 hours because MIA was closed. DIdn't get home until 11:00 pm.
I had a blast, though I did a lot in such little time, it was great to see EVERYONE! I miss them dearly, but thats what vacations are for.
Anyway gotta go.

all you beach dwellers and those who want to make the trip, I am coordially inviting you to join me in celebrating my last day at "the Cleve" and on getting a real job at 7:00 when I get off of work. There will be lots of drinking (my co-workers are having a contest on seeing who will be still standing after taking the 10 specialty drink challenge, in which I am not participating in), there will also be good food, music and good times. If that still does not entice you, which I don't see why not, then anyone who dines with me gets half off of drinks and 20% off of food....provided if I know you and like you....lol!
Anyway, again the date is Friday June 25th at 7:00pm til someone drops. Hope to see you there.

yep this is job number 1000 since I have been here. However this job is a keeper....for now! Lemme rewind a week. So after my wonderful weekend I have an even better week. I had my second interview at Club Monaco as sales/merchandiser. Got the job. Happy as hell I continue on with my life. I get a call from D&G at Bal Harnour Wed wanting me to come in for an interview today (Friday). I freak out because I mean come on....IT'S D&G! As if that wasn't enough, I get a call yesterday from this corporation called Isaco International, which is the 2nd largest male clothing distributer with Perry Ellis and independant brands being represented, for an interview at 8:00 in the morning. Mind you I had to work until 2:30 am at Clevelander. Anyway after 2 hours of sleep and no coffee I was not 100% confident on getting this job. But this had to be one of the easiest and best interviews I have been on. So I was hired on the spot as the Administrative Assistant to VP of Merchandising with continuous mentioning of growth into the merchandising position and then some. After this glee I then question if I should go on the D&G interview. I will be making good money at Isaco but would like to make more. So thinking I could work on weekends at a store I go to the interview. It didn't work out, so I still had the Club Monaco job. However when I just spoke to her, working just on weekends was not going to cut it. So now I am just working at Isaco and possibly still Clevelander on the weekends. I think this could be a really good decision for me. It's funny because I was interested in working for Isaco way back in Sept (maybe before that) and kept applying. I guess it pays off.
