  2. Jay Tripwire is coming to DC at the Blue Room (2321 18th st nw) on Friday October 7th. For those of you not familiar with him, he is a canadian house producer/dj. His sound is techy, trippy, and very subby... mind ya bassbins! His records have been charted by the likes of onionz and joeski, fred everything, tyler stadius, danny howells, and John Digweed. So if you want to hear some serious underground sounds that are increasingly difficult to hear in DC, come out and support.

    Ray Kang (www.brokensouldc.com)

    Doors open @ 10pm/21 & over to attend

    Eyebar is located at 1716 I Street NW (closest metros are Farragut North and Farragut West)

    For more information on the event, please visit www.nuvomusic.com or contact Ricardo @ 202.255.8727, ricardo@nuvomusic.com

    If you cannot attend and would still like to give a monetary contribution, please visit www.americanredcross.org or call 202.727.1000 for more options of how you can donate to the effort.

  4. We bought our first pair of turntables together in 2000. Since then, we each have played

    numerous venues throughout the area. In 2004, we banded together to bring you 2 Tribes,

    playing parties like Pearl @ Five and Cubik @ Nation.

    This year, we bring you our favorite project yet. . . the Pulse Residency! Those that were at

    its beginning on January 15th - you know the beat. Don’t miss it!

    This Saturday. 03.05.05.

  6. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us last week! I was visiting my family last week in San Francisco and I had a gig at Levende Lounge representing DC! Although I was away, my partner in crime - Double o7 held the night down proper. The vibe was thick and good times were had by all. This week will be the last party we throw in 2004 so don't miss it! Of course we'll be back next week in 2005 so don't fret - this is only the beginning!

    We have found an amazing venue on U St. at a place called Bar Nun. The room is BEAUTIFUL - imagine a very posh version of Club RED. The sound system is SICK! You have to experience it for yourself because I can't do it justice here. Anyway, Freddy and I would LOVE your support this week as we continue to develop this new party. If things continue to go well, it will be a new Thursday night home for all of us once again. Hope to see you there!

    For those of you who don't know, Freddy (Double o7) and I ended our 3 year residency at the Blue Room back in August. Since then, things just haven't been the same for us and possibly for some of you. It's been really nice having our Thursday nights off, however, we have missed seeing you guys on a regular basis. Therefore, we have started a regular Thursday night revival of KNEE DEEP!

    ||THURSDAY|KNEE DEEP|RED DAKINI||

    Thanks to everyone who came out to support us last week! This week, we welcome our very special guest, Red Dakini!

    1991 marks the beginning for RED Dakini*making a transition from a collector to a performer. Musically she has what some would label as an "eclectic selection"* but deep house is always close to her heart. Originally from the west coast, she not only had the privilege of spinning with top notch national talent (Miles Maeda , Diz),*she also ran a booking agency working to secure spots in San Diego, and L.A.

    This Thursday is dedicated to the ladies as we welcome RED DAKINI to the Blue Room to provide the atmosphere for those with an open mind. She is quite possibly the best representation for female dj's in the metro area. You be the judge...
