    |blue room|21 & over|ADAMS MORGAN|

    ||THURSDAY|KNEE DEEP|Special Guests|om & Kay|

    We've just returned from The Winter Music Conference in Miami and needless to say, it was incredible! The music was all new and the parties were insane! Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep but we're totally energized for the spring! We'll be banging the box hard with our very special guests om and kay (Immersion/EUSM)!

    Heavily influenced by the likes of Mark Farina, Doc Martin, Lil‚ Louie Vega, Todd Terry, and Danny Tenaglia, Kay brings a moody blend of deep, percussive house grooves that embrace elements of jazz and latin music. A recent transplant from Atlanta, Kay has played at such Dirty South house-havens as Elven50, the Crescent Room, Nomenclature Museum, Trinity, and the long-running HouseWorks radio show on Album88.

    om brings a fresh flavor to house music in Washington D.C. Originally a hiphop DJ, in 1997 after listening to a Little Louis Vega mix, he was turned onto house music indefinitely. Some of the first house records ever bought, were handed to om by Sam The Man Burns at 12" dance records when om was a wee lad. While having a residency at Gazuza, he hooked up Kay. om has rocked venues all over the world such as: Odds, Diva, The Bank, Zei, DC Live, The Saint, Cafe Citron, Murali Lounge, Nation (Buzz). Also, Milano in London, UK, Fire n' Ice in Bombay, India, and Tito's in Goa, India.

    We'll help you thaw out from all the cold weather and get you prepared for the springtime madness!

  8. She's got nice boobs but the million dollar question is, "Can she spin?"

    No offense Mike (I'm giving you a hard time now :D ), but it upsets me that good DJ's who work their asses off often get passed over by less talented girls who get gigs just for showing their tits. I've never heard her spin so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt - she could just as well be the next Mistress Barbara for all I know. Will someone please provide a full review next week?

    Max Graham, on the other hand was rockin!
