problem is, you need music to dance, and if people aint making it.....
just cuz music isnt printed on vinyl doesnt mean its not getting made. Its far easier nowadays to just make it digitally and have it distributed online, becomes more accessible to everyone and puts the producers name out there.
everyone seriously just needs to stop getting hung up on how the music is mixed or made. Now when the djs just start popping in mash ups or predone sets, then bitch n whine, til then is all good long as they putting in their soul into it.

you are so ignorant. and its really pathetic how you seem to think you can judge someone off one set.
i have no idea your ears with the epicenter of taste for all things music related, and were so finely tuned to make such assessment such as that.
jealousy must be a bitch...you must hate that you think he sucks sooo bad but packs a club all the time, has a record contract, and makes some serious paper doin it.
hey douche bag, jealous of what, i dont care what he has or who he brings in, i dont like him and find him EXTREMELY dull. His music is very monotnous and its exactly what one expects from a big name club dj. Good for him that he's making money by giving subpar music lovers that kind of shit, so congrats to you for settling but yes I do prefer quality over hype.

2 reasons, 1 its annoying to be bugged during a mix, takes concentration to do it. 2, yah your prob right he doesnt want you to know the name but its usually the first reason than the 2nd most the times.
-
blah blah blah, who fucking cares, just shut up and dance
-
boris sucks, heard him once, its easy to play a set from near opening to early in the am when ya play the entire track n mix it on the lows, pfff. Christ he's dull, defilin cielo with his presence n music >_<
-
i dont think its just house, i know plenty of djs who dont buy ANY of the stuff the mix if its mp3s and most ppl just prefer to download these days anyway. It's all about the quality of music most the time, a lot of it sucks, so we just want that one really great song and not the entire shitty album.
Its rare nowadays that anyone will pay for shit. Although now with sites that offer downloads of songs for a small fair price, its slowly becoming more the norm. I try to find stuff I want off of pay sites and i dont mind paying a dollar or a bit more for just one song I really want digitally or as a single with a few good remixes.
The other thing is, djs especially have over the years shelled out LOTS of cash on vinyl most of all even cds and to be honest they dont make back a lot of that money even with the gigs they get, there are a few that break even but most dont. Yah thats pretty much it.

seriously ppl, stfu, do whatever works best for you. This whole vinyl is purest form shit is extremely old and more than half the djs anyone goes out to see doesnt stick to just vinyl anymore or not at all anymore.

losers
that is all

yup he destroyed friday night so much that he destroyed my toe and my ankle >_<

Dude, if you're actually watching the DJ the whole time, you're dull.
yup, its not always how the music is presented but the music itself. Everyone just shut the fuck up and dance.
Friend of mine uses serato, he got me hooked, lays out 6 hour sets using a mini laptop, serato and external drive. Its sick and the track selection is bananas, its shit he would never think of bringing on vinyl but its there so its like last min decisions, its more personal in a way and allows for a unique set if the dj knows how to work it proper.
-
A lot of mix CD's that you see in stores today are done using protools. The DJ selects the tracks and their sequence but the computer mixes them. In this instance Behrouz mixed the CD himself as if he were spinning the tracks in a club...
yah, thought everyone knew this.
thats why sometimes the cd sounds waaaaaaay better than the dj live.

avalon was dead inside, but there where no guidos or cracked out asians, plus the music was insanely good. I call it a great night, minus my broken toe and sprained ankle...thats how hard i danced n stupid drunk i got >_<
great night though
-
someone was using this at sullivan room one night.... his laptop froze..had to wait a few minutes til' he re-booted everything....real smooth, lol
NEVER load all the mp3s on the laptop, run them from a seperate external drive. I use my laptop strictly for serato n school reports . No freezes ever, cuz i dont fill it with junk. Also its gotta have really good ventilation, overheating does happen. Other than that Serato ownz
oh also, its easy to switch back to normal records using serato so his fault for not taking some back up records ;op
-
stompy should have his own video game
-
i use ranes serato scratch, nuff said

fuck i missed it, i cant show my face ever

dj worship is pathetic PERIOD, its the real downfall in night life, all bout loot
-
knew the artwork looked familiar ;op
this shit is fucking hilarious and true.
I enjoy a good pvd and tiesto PRODUCTION, but as djs, they're not so good. Extremely bland and it is just crowd worship, heads jumpin up n down while looking at em >_<, worst shit EVER!
