was that the track that sounded like a diva kinda track, her saying something like tonight is the night, its gonna happen. then it had an amazin breakdown to it? lots of cool breakdown tracks in their set actually. too hard to call on any id's , i only got like 3-5. althought i distinctly remeber lee dropping his do you smoke pot track and another weed releated sample blazed.gif

  2. tyrants never really had that banging sound, they play 10 hour sets biweekly at fabric. hence i dnt get why people are so bitter about them not banging it out till like around 6-7. where the expecting them to be like pvd and drop for an angel during their first hour? ;)

and as i said earlier, after 7 it was a total mind bang fuck fest. ive never heard any tech dj bang it out that hard while keepin that trippy sound going for them (for those who where there, did you notice how craig kept dropping that acappala of that women giggling?)

and fuck afterhours, there for snobs anyways

  3. its funny how the people who didnt enjoy saturday night are the ones who left before 7am and missed the closing 2 hours and the afterparty set. shame really. although tyrant did take way too long to get into their set, so i dnt really blame people for leaving. there where like less than 50 people at arc around 7.

  4. heres a mini review i did a while back.

disc 1 starts off well, chilled & ambient breaks galore with tracks by substructure and atlas standing out firmly. it gets kinda run-on and looses me in the middle but recovers nicely towards the end with some very cool tracks from planet funk and grey area.

nicks track selection on this disc is pretty good and the mixing is at times is just 'ok', but its mostly just fade ins, as are most ambient cds. towards the end is when it starts getin breaky and leads you out to disc 2. otherwise i have no quarrals with this disc, its fun to chill out to and have a smoke to. if yer a fan of his back to mine compilation(as iam) you will enjoy this cd.

disc 2 now is where nick goes all off. i can loosly describe this cd as uplifiting orgasmic trance & breaks. as disc 1 this cd starts off very well with 2 uplifiting tracks from juan recoba and aural imbalance. but from then on its onto some really weird/annoying trancy tracks by the the likes of vector and rambient. thankfully the cd recovers amongst the last 3 tracks where the orgasmic sounding/almost beautiful at times kinda tracks start comin in.

overall, from a mixing/programmin standpoint, this cd is very mediocre and nothing inspiring (tracks runin out for 12 min wtf), same shit over and over again.but then again nick never makes anything really standoutish. i only ever purchase nicks stuff for his track selections. if you wanna hear some really good chill stuff and a few beautiful tracks i suggest you do go out and buy it. but for the sake of hearin something 'new', sit this one out.

  5. i think he had issues with sonars drink list thingy, something about their drinks being sissy fruity something haha.

he said hes bringin his own cooler of beer saturday night :D

i agree that deepdish dont have their signature house sound anymore and are more prog. but hasnt pvd always been about banging hard trance?.

and untill he takes for an angel out of his box, hes still epic in my book ;)
