Karyia, Selanne, Forseberg, Sakic...this new Avs team is gonna be one of the most potent offenses in the league's histroy since the Penguins when they won their back to back titles. And they have the $ to pick up a good vet. goalie. Its hard to replace one of the best goalies of all time, but they can pick up a solid vet. to take them to the finals.
The Wings are losing Federov, they are gonna be a year older...I just dont see them being a contender in the West next year.

Why do us Flyers fans have to be cursed the way we are? Get rid of Chechmaneck for Jeff Hackett? Sure he's a decent goalie and Chechmaneck has chocked in the playoffs lately, but I'd rather take my chances another year with him. We coulda had CuJo too...Bobby Clarke is a damn fool and has ruined this team for years.

John Farruggio is the man! Definatley an under-rated producer/remixer, and a really nice guy. Anyone in the Philly area should check him out on the main floor at Shampoo on Sundays.

Good call...there are a lot of trance haters out there, but Micro is def. an under-rated DJ. I'd like to see him get bigger spots and make a bigger name for himself...like you said, he deserves it.

That team was the team we put out fair and square, but it was a bunch of second rate players. The starting 5 of that team is nowhere near the talent level of the starting 5 of our next Olympic team. Hell, the next 5 down the line of our next Olypmic team is better than the starting 5 of the World Championship team that got embarrassed, and probably could have beaten that team from Yugoslavia.

I wouldnt say European players are "taking over" the NBA. Yeah, theres a lot more players from Europe these days than there used to be and people are concentrating on that in the news and scouting, but the NBA is still predominantly American players. I cant wait for the next Olympics...the U.S. is going to embarrass any other country. We got embarrassed in these past World Championships, but I dont consider that to be true for whats going to happen in the Olympics. It was a bunch of 6th men, playing against every other countries top players. Our next Olympic team is going to have the best players in the league...Duncan, Karl Malone, Kobe, Iverson, and Kidd. How's that for a starting 5? Maybe substitute Ben Wallace for Malone. But either way, this team is going to embarrass teams like the original Dream Team did.

I didnt hear too many details but Beenie Segal turned himself into Philly police after he performed at the Roc the Mic tour there. Apparently he was wanted on attempted murder charges and police are saying he fired 6 shots at someone, and hit them once in the foot and once in the stomach. Friggin' idiot...

I've always thought Mya was over-rated. Most young r&b singers out right now all sound alike to me anyway. I havent heard any other songs off her new album so maybe I shouldnt judge, but I have no desire to hear any of it really. The first single, Whoa, is awful...doesnt make me wanna run out and listen to any more off the album.

A friend of mine went to it at Montage in Wilkes Barre, PA last weekend and said it was sick. Jay-Z had the best set, according to him. I was offered 5th row seats and VIP parking but had to work!

Holy shit dude, I've always known you were slow with songs...but you have to have been living under a rock not to know what song that was when it came out over 4 months ago. Every radio station across the country, MTV, hell...even VH1 has over-killed that song. Thats like saying back in the summer of 99...who does that song that says something about "bangin' on the bathroom floor." It kinda sounds reggae-ish.
Or last summer...who did that song that says somethin about taking all your clothes off because its getting so hot in here.

This sort of thing pisses me off. To see these schools' big wigs at the press conferences making all these lame excuses as to why they did it, when everyone on the planet knows it was for the all mighty dollar. I remember seeing one of them saying something like "I'd be lying if I said one of the small reasons was for money" I give credit for at least mentioning it, but it certainly wasnt on the bottom of the list.
The point this raises is this...all these schools, TV networks, and so on make so much money of the kids who go to these big time schools and play the major sports. Where are the athlete's cuts of these billions being made by the networks and schools? Sure, the good players who go pro will make a great living in the near future, but I dont see how its fair that they (and the bench riding players on the team) can play sports like this, make their schools so much money, make the networks so much money...but when someone mentions paying college athletes, people react like you just yelled "bomb" on a plane.

Yeah he is touring to promote his new CD, which is pretty good. Glad to see a Philly DJ other than Robbie Tronco get out of the area and showcase their talent.
