I just want to say that I had a great time at Odea Lounge this past Friday. Jackie Christie served up some true house music. Its a must for all house heads. The vibe was great, and the music was right on point. I can't wait to go back.

What about "STEP INTO MY HOUSE" the DM Mix
(and I don't mean David Morales )
lol
Now thats a classic!!

I agree on the warranty bit. You should definetly look into just spending a little extra cash from an actual retailer. I'm sure if you haggle, you can get a good deal at Guitar Center too.
For speakers, I would go with JBL all the way, powered on nonpowered. I have never had a bad experience with them.
Amps = Crown
Thats usually the rule
For a CD player, I would recomend the table top Pioneers. Whether you get the 800s or the new 200, either of them will help you get used to plain mixing or scratch mixing.
This is just my opinion on what I would do for a setup. It might get a little costly, but you will not regret it in the end.

I couldn't agree with all of you guys any more. Best time I've had at Deko in a long time. The music was awesome and the vibe was great. Much props to the whole Deko crew.

It's a lounge, with a very casual dress code. Drinks aren't pricey either.

Pioneer Mixer DJM 3000 Anyone Ever Use One ??

I use the mixer as well. It serves its purpose for the money, having some built in effects on board, although it definetly doesn't replace the effects from the efx500. My biggest complaint from it is that it doesn't have full kill on the eq's. If it had kills as the effects piece does, I would be a much happier person . Overall, like I said, it does serve its purpous.
