Colombias scene is very strong at the moment. Some big names that have played there are Carl Cox, Saeed & Palash, Sasha, Oakenfold, Antione Clamaran which loved it so much he came out with an EP named "Colombia". Oscar played as well, just to name a few. One thing about South American countries is that many people might not have alot of money, but when it comes to partying they find it somehow.

I have never heard this guy play so I can not give my opinion about him, but its fucked up how people are more for the CELEBRITY STATUS of a DJ and how much he charges, rather than for what music he plays. Here is something to think about: Paul Oakenfold got paid $90,000 for 2 nights at NV, and what, I heard he sucked ass. I dont doubt it, I have heard him play before, people are more into the CELEBRITY....................rather than the music. The music is what matters,not how much they charge. Don't go by their Celebrity Status, go by what they are playing and what they are doing for the room. I suggest you give the DJ the opportunity and a chance to rock it out. If you haven't heard the DJ play, don't critize him for being a "low budget DJ", that "low budget DJ" might rock the shit out of the venue. Just my 2 cents Johnny www.johnnyramirez.com

You know, most of the music Jon played last night wasn't my style, but I saw that the people got into it. I thought he played better than Sheldon Romero, who I heard train wreck after train wreck in his set, yet most of the people on this board wrote great reviews about him. I think Jon played for the people that were there.

It Was very cool meeting all of you, I had an incredible time, It is an awsome friendship/bond that i see that cpeez all have, You are all just so cool and close.........very cool. No igoes just a cool group off people that enjoy MUSIC and can really appreciate a great vibe.....Met alot of cool people. I did not think that there were this many djs on this board,very cool. There is alot of talent here.Great tunes!!!!!!!!!! Everyone that played was great! It was great being able to listen to so many cool dj s (no igoes) just great music. So I guess you are one of the "Sheep", seems you only listen to music cuz "good looking people do" And yes in Colombia people have chosen Techno as there main genre of music, and ask Stryke, the women there are beautiful. Specially in Medellin

I think that it is excellent when Stryke plays alongside a House DJ, not taking anything away from Stryke, I think he is an excellent DJ, and would love to play alongside of him. I just dont think people are educated enough with Techno. BTW Dan, It's Serge.

I am from Colombia, a country where in the late 80's early nineties the nightlife was not accessible due to all the violence. Colombia does not have the "nightlife history" that miami has, but is now one of the hottest countries that playes Techno. 95% of the worlds best DJ's have played there, including Stryke and several other DJ's from Miami. Techno was introduced to Colombia little by little. If you want people to start liking Techno, you need to introduce it to the people, but not a whole night of Techno, little by little, by sets, so people can start diggin it, I my self love Techno, but like to be brought up to that level by listening to other genres of music, such as House, Tech House,Tribal, etc., but not trance. If Miami had more DJ's that would do a set or two of Techno, people would start diggin it, and could become a whole night of techno. Just my 2 cents.

Get Garfield, personally I can't stand his muisic......at all, but he has some sort of a following, and if it is about money give it a shot. You can probably get another DJ that plays Hip Hop.

Looks like Spin??.....Thats' gonna suck, nothing against Spin, I think it's a real nice club, but The old Space is a clubgoers club. People dont go there to be seen, people go there for the music. For the underground feel, TO DANCE. I hope LP doesn't try to make Space 34 more of a commercial club feel. Just my opinion.
