  1. why cant we all just get along....i mean for real people.....this constant bickering about whether or not the vibe is better with a black/latino/asain or white crowd is just foolish and represents the height of arrogance,in other words.....WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS, WE ARE ALL THE SAME....DAMMIT!!!
  2. I think jp at spirit is a terrific idea, for starters hav'nt you people noticed that spirit is a replicca of the soundfactory, my only concern is that this party wll not go afterhours, which is a shame considering that soundfactory use to be my church sunday freaking mornings....oh well, i guess 7 a.m will have to do!!!
  3. okay, heres the deal guys, me and my peeps are thinking about hitting up black tonight.....but im sorta iffy about it cause, i went there for the grand opening party and i thought it was pretty sick, but i also went to black the week after it first opened and i have to say that it was just plain horrible, the club was like 1/10 of capicity and i have not heard any reviews posted for black on the week that just past.....so if anyone has any reviews please share them and your opinions on how you think tonight should be???
  4. okay, let me start off by saying that i do agree with you when you say that a crowd is a reflection of the dj, but you cannot blame jp for the stupidity of a couple of people, its not like he's opening their mouth's and forcing them too drop bomb's or whatever other illegal substances they indulge in, the way i see it, if I choose to do drugs, it's MY choice to do so, not your's, not his, but MINE. and for your infromation, i've been going to the sound factory for years and been their several times sober all night and all day long, i have meet and befriended some off the most wonderful people and the majority off them go to soundfactory sober, meaning they go there listen jp and his music and not to do DRUGS, as you would say we do!!!
  5. okay let me start off by apologizing for posting yet another thread about Black, but there is a question that i must ask my fellow clubgoers. Does anyone have any idea if Black will even be open this coming saturday night/sunday morning and if so what time will jp start spinning and what time is he scheduled to close it out.....any info will be appreciated....thank you!!!
  6. PVD at the roxy.....should be a sick party.....but you should buy your tickets in advance at satellite records in downtown manhattan or you might not be able to get in the club!!!
  7. okay here is the deal guys....i along with a group of my friends are going clubbing tonight and we have pretty much narrowed the options down to two clubs, spirt and soundfactory, but we are pretty much deadlocked on which one to go to.....and considering the fact that they are both grand openings it makes it tougher for us too decide. i myself am leaning towards going to spirt cause its kinda a real grand opening unlike soundfactory, but some of my friends are old school factory heads and they wanna check it out, anyways im thinking soundfactory might be dead tonight cause without jp there really is no reserection and i would be surprised if sf did good numbers tonight....needless to say I NEED YOUR HELP, YOU ARE OUR TIE BREAKER, i await your responses!!!
  8. just wondering, if anyone knows what time will mauro picotto be opening his set.......???
  9. whats up with this 24 hour liquor licence thing i keep hearing about, is this true or is it just another scam.....if any one knows the facts about this please inform???
  10. does anyone know if any outlets will be selling tickets for this event.....??? a.k.a- satellite records, etc., etc., etc.?
  11. OMFG.......... PVD AT THE HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM.........THIS IS AN EVENT THAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED, THIS IS AN AWESOME VENUE AND PVD WILL TEAR THE ROOF DOWN!!! I CANT WAIT
  12. go to www.soundfactorynyc.com this is the official soundfactory website and all the information you need is there. the club is suppose to only let people in if they are 21 and over but i know for a fact that they do let people in that are 18,19 or 20 years old but it all depends on the person that is on the front door checking id, if i were you i would give it a shot, they might let you in, just get there anytime after 4 a.m. when they shut the bar down !!!
  13. okay here is the deal on sound factory afterhours, the party for me is not what it use to be, the crowd, music and the vibe use to be incredible and it still is depending on which night you go i myself have given up on going to soundfactory after hours on a regular night because it does not stay open very late only till about 2 or 3 in the afternoon. i go to soundfactory on theme nights, they throw these theme parties about once a month and they stay open very late and im talking like from saturday night till monday morning and it gets REALLY CROWDED, to the point where you cant move and i just love it. a good time to get there would be about 8 or 9 in the morning. if i were you i would wait till they throw there next theme party which will be saturday july 19, 2003 "UNDERWEAR PARTY", try getting there like around 10 in the morning and be prepared, you might be blown away, it will be packed and you can see for yourself the madness that goes on there on a sunday morning
  14. man ohhhhhhhhhh man, HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN............. FOR A TIME EXIT WAS THE FRIDAY NIGHT PARTY THAT KEPT ON ROCKING, PACKED EVERY SINGLE WEEK, MUSIC WAS SICKKKKK AND THE VIBE FROM THE CROWD WAS AWESOME, NEVER HAD A DULL MOMENT IN THERE!!!! BUT THEN "SOMETHING HAPPEND" AND EXIT COLLAPSED LIKE A TON OF BRICKS, AT FIRST I WAS DISAPPOINTED AT THE FACT THAT NO ONE WANTED TO GO TO THERE ANYMORE AND YET I CONTINUED TO GO BUT AS TIME WENT BY I STARTED TO LET GO AND NOW I REALLY DO NOT CARE MUCH FOR THAT PLACE ANYMORE, ITS BECOME COMMERCIAL, CHEAP AND JUST DOWN RIGHT HORRIBLE. FOR THOSE WHO USE TO GO THERE YEARS AGO....YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END, WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN SO CANT WE JUST ALL FORGET ABOUT IT. EXIT- R.I.P
  15. OKAY GUYS THIS IS THE DEAL......... MY FRIENDS BIRTHDAY IS GOING TO BE NEXT WEEK AND TO CELEBRATE HE IS GOING TO EXIT NEXT FRIDAY TO SEE BAD BOY BILL, BUT I HAVE BEEN HEARING THAT EXIT JUST FLAT OUT SUCKS NOWADAYS AND THAT HALF THE CLUB IS OFF LIMITS TO CLUBGOERS WHO ATTEND BECAUSE OFF THE LACK OF PEOPLE ATTENDING THIER WEEKLY FRIDAY NIGHT PARTY. IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN I COULD NOT IMAGINE GOING THIER AND HAVING A GOOD TIME AND I DONT WANT MY FRIEND SPENDING HIS BIRTHDAY SOMEWHERE HE WONT HAVE FUN EITHER. SO IN OTHER WORDS I AM IN NEED OF YOUR OPINION, HAS EXIT BECOME A CHEAP,"COMMERCIAL" VENUE WHOS GLORY DAYS HAVE FADED AND IS NOW A MERE SHADOW OF IT'S FORMER SELF OR IS IT STILL WORTH A SHOT? I AWAIT YOUR RESPONSES!!!
  16. OKAY I AM CONFUSED, I HEARD THAT THE BAR CLOSES AT 4 AM AND THAT AFTER IT CLOSES IT DOES NOT RE-OPEN. BUT NOW I AM HEARING THAT IT DOES RE-OPEN AT A CERTAIN TIME ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON SO I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THE DEAL IS WITH THE BAR SITUATION . ALCOHOLICS LIKE MYSELF WOULD LIKE TOO KNOW???
  17. I am sorry to say that this place is not what it use to be.... first of all, the place was not as packed as i was expecting it to be and the music was not great, when vicious came on at 4 the music did get better but overall i was disappointed......exit has changed so much over the years and it has not been for the better. another thing i did not like were all those lights so brightly turned on , on the second floor.........the only place that was pumping was the red room the music was crazy in there and the room was packed. for those of you who just started going to exit, last night was probably a very good night, but for those of you like myself who use to go like 2-3 years ago i think you would agree with me when i say exit has become very "commercial". very little substance left in there THE ANNIVERSARY PARTY IS JUST TWO WEEKS AWAY.....!!!! I CANT WAIT, HOW ABOUT YOU??
  18. okay, i got there at 11 because i knew the line was going to be huge if i got there later, so when we got there we had no problem getting in, but once inside i knew the crowd was going to be different given the fact that almost every single person in there was ASIAN, later on in the night the crowd got more diversified. as far as music goes george acosta played a pretty good set, but everything he played i have heard before so it was nothing new for me. the only thing that bothered me was the fact that it was not as packed is i thought i would be, some people might disagree with me becuase the place was packed but i've seen soundfactory way way more packed before.................. in other words it was a good night out but still not the same as it use to be a couple of years ago p.s: some of the girls that went to soundfactory last night "where of the damn meat rack...HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! P.L.U.R & R.O.A.R
  19. I stop and wonder sometimes and think of the relentless violence that is happening in the middle east involving the palestinians and the israelis and how sad and mad it makes me feel because its become quite clear to me that no one is going to win this conflict and yet they continue to fight each other, they are caught in a vicous cycle of violence and its a damn stalemate. What these two factions must realize is that they are both equal they both cry, bleed and die the same. It does not matter if you are a jew,arab,american,canadian,mexican,jamacian,dominican,puerto- rican, german, french, brazilian, russian, chinese, italian, irish, korean, australian, african, etc, etc, etc, because we are all human beings we are all in this together. perhaps when enough people have died they might come to this painful realization. in more technical terms, what the diplomats on both sides of the conflict have to do is sit down on the negotaiting table, look at each other in the eye and say .............. " CANT WE JUST FORGET ABOUT IT"
