The truth of the matter is that once all the high-rise construction is finished in South Beach and those who payed a minimum of $450,000 dollars for their apartments get the high votes for what happens in South Beach the party will be over and eventually moved to Downtown Miami or the Entertainment District, Design District..etc. Its just a matter of time.

The whole "festival" thing will not be an issue.... As I said before the first night will be dedicated ONLY to electronic music, so you won't get the Alternative Latin Crowd.....POD. In my way of seeing things I'm open to any new events that brings in talent and activities involving the music we love to our city...so what if Saturday there's going to be a "latino-palooza" festival.

Sasha and Digweed On October 17th w/ Mac Devila, Masters @ Work, DJ Stingray and more TBA. All part of El Arca Music Festival a two day event that will convert the American Airlines Arena into a massive stage showcasing Latin Alternative Rock and Electronic Music DJ's. The first day (17th) will kick off with those DJ's mentioned above turning the arena into a massive dance club. Second day (18th) wil be dedicated to Alternative Latin Rock with performacnes by varous latin rock artists like: Gustavo Cerati, Aterciopelados and more..... More info as it comes closer to date. Could be interesting...........

Nerve! We need to keep the beach alive. Nerve is actually fitting into the profile of "people going to listen to good music and interested in the music" Space is again, undoubtably SPACE, a legend of its own, but its so big that you get mixed vibe feelings. You have those that go 1. to just get fu***ed up, not really caring who they're listening too, using the DJ as the music as an excuse to get trashed 2. those who of course care about the music, listen to the mixes and if they by the way get trashed.....oops! Nerve is I think targeting those on #2 which is the people who really give a good vibe to veneues.

I may be wrong, but....... I heard from an insider (CROBAR), that NO, old Space will not be bought by Crobar. Too bad, was looking forward to it actually. Old Space terrace run by Crobar...too good to be true I always thought....

Miami Beach : CROBAR, it may not have the best sound system, but the vibe when a good dj performs is amazing. Unfortunately that hasn't happened in a while (good dj performance at Crobar, well except during WMC of course). Miami: SPACE. Undoubtably best sound system, lighting system and DJ lineup.

I don't mean to be rude, but is this a joke? ??? If it isn't please correct me and explain a little more on what Hialeah Sound System plays, type of music etc...

I agree, I was a major LD fan back in the Groove Jet days, have not seen him spin for a while, since Crobar, some days at Crobar he was great some he s..., still curious on seeing how he's spinning now a days...Good luck to him though..nice guy.
