Monday, February 16, 2004 Deep Space welcomes DJ Harvey in a rare New York appearance. DJ François K. will not be performing that night. Harvey is a pioneer of the UK house scene, one of the original scratch DJ's, known for his graveyard slots at London's Ministry of Sound, his own 'Tonka sound system, and countless residencies worldwide, including his current surfing-ground, Los Angeles. He has released tracks under pseudonyms on Mo' Wax, Dorado, Ministry Of Sound, Skint and Junior Boys Own and remixed for Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies, Ian Brown, Stereo MCs, Electronic, The Police and Cornershop. His 'after hours' style sets are notorious for their eclectic scope, from blends of deep, soulful and jazzy house, leftfield vibes, classic funk, astounding post-disco, rock, and dub. Deep Space is proud to announce that it has been nominated for the biggest dance music award DanceStar USA 2004; The American Dance Music Awards for Best Club Night.
