whoa! slow down...i work as a mechanical engineer for a medical company and read theoretical physics in my spare time - BUT I AM STRAIGHT! please don't quote statistics in such a way to imply that straight people are of lower intelligence! and by the way, STOP TRYING SO HARD TO IMPRESS. people that self-advertise their accomplishments usually have little to actually talk about!

absolutely true. everyone is entitled to their opinions. but there have been references to armani labels, french connection labels, sunglasses, and hair styles...basically complaints about everyone looking the same and dancing the same. i am just saying that eveyone in the scene can be lumped into one of two categories...and in the end, who cares what people look like or how they dance. being someone with good looks, style, and dancing ability (sorry, had to get cocky for a second) i HATE hearing others being made fun of...that's at least how this thread got started.

what cracks me up about so many of you people is how you knock someone that sports the designer labels (and i am not talking a t-shirt with 12" D&G letters!) do you really think that all of us that follow fashion and have spikey hair can't dance? i get a dozen compliments a night on my dancing...and my private label kenneth cole. make fun of someone's dancing and i'll make fun of your busted cargos. talk about all looking the same! that whole baggy pants and t-shirt cookie cutter is gettin' a little worn out!!!

wrong, wrong, wrong... emergency rooms have pre-prepared kits with a number of items that MIGHT be used for an incoming patient...one of those items is human ketamine. the kits get ripped opened, the necessary item used, and the rest discarded. why throw away an unused bottle of ketamine?... that's at least what my friend the ER doctor thought...

how are maze, life, spi club, and nerve? is maze really "twilo-esque"? (twilo was an nyc club)

some friends and i are planning to party august 14th to the 19th...a couple of questions: 1 - is that a decent time to visit? 2 - we hit space, crobar, and opium last time...are they still good? 3 - space34 is just remodeled, not relocated right? 4 - how is level now? when i was there last year i was told it wasn't any good so i didn't go. 5 - what other clubs are worth checkin out?

its simple math kids... club owners make more money when they switch to hip-hop because the crowd is willing to pay over $10 a drink for top shelf liquor - compared to the $4 water bottles sold to the house fans(half of which get refilled in the bathroom!). not to mention the less expensive covers attract a larger crowd to begin with...a crowd that spends regardless of the economy...ITS ALL ABOUT THE FLASHIN' THE CASH. HOUSE MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE!

absolutely...but you strengthen my point that the philly crowd is so picky that most won't go out unless they know the dj and the club happens to be the popular club of the month.

alright people, here's the deal... first of all, no, i am not a new member. i am just using a new user name so you all focus on my message. secondly, i have done most of the clubs in philadelphia, partied in new york often, and danced through the morning in the best clubs in miami. so why am i writing you ask? i was just wondering...WHAT HAPPENED TO PHILLY!!! people, i am tired of getting all amped up to go out for some special dj here, only to have it die down at 5am! where are you all going? to sleep? to some boring afterparty? somehow the scene became all about being seen in your new outfit, and less about the music and meeting new people. look, i have the designer glasses and the private label clothes, but i check my attitude at the door and walk in ready to party. isn't the music what started the scene to begin with? isn't the music the most important part of the night? no more conplaining about philly djs, because this saturday (june 14th) at transit TIESTO will be spinning. and for those of you who don't know, he is the #1 dj in the world right now. i am not advertising for him or for transit, just trying to spark some life back into the scene. if we start showing support for the clubs here, and stop complaining about every little thing, more big nights will be planned. for real now, was twilo any nicer than anything here? NO!!! it was a sick place because people went to DANCE!!! and that other excuse about the dancefloor being all gay...yeah, yeah, i know the mass of shirtless men makes it difficult to move, but if you all stuck around past 5am it would stay mixed and we could ALL have fun! in short, get your @sses to transit this saturday because i want to party!!! CAN I GET SOME SUPPORT?!?!
