On January 21, Michael Paoletta of Billboard Magazine announced the signing of the powerhouse performer, professional dancer and songwriter, Dolce, to Act 2 Records. Production team, Orange Factory, discovered the strikingly beautiful artist one evening at a recording session. Dolce’s voice lured the Orange Factory threesome: Jeremy Skaller, Ellis Miah and Robert LaRow, into the hallway, and the rest is dance music history- or it’s about to be. Dolce describes her music as, “Funky, bangin’ and soulfulâ€. With a background in gospel music, Dolce built a strong reputation for herself as a sought after session singer with credits including projects with producers Touch of Jazz (of Jill Scott fame), RCA Records and Gospel America. Dolce first performed her single, “Fireâ€, for world renowned DJ, Junior Vasquez, at Exit nightclub in New York. Junior spun the track several times a night, making her a phenomenon among club goers. Dolce migrated from Kingston, Jamaica to New York at the ripe age of 16, in hopes of fulfilling her dreams. After graduating from Beauty School, she began her award winning Hair designing career. She later opened her own shop, Beauty Fam, on Madison Avenue, where she flourished as a preeminent entrepreneur, paving the way for her career as a recording artist. She acquired the name “Madam†by her Colleagues. Whether you call her sweet Dolce, Madam, or the Princess of Dance Music, her vocal skills will surely prompt you to bow down in acknowledgement of her royalty.
