o.k so I'm going 2 New York 4 New Year from Scotland with some friends and we want to have a guaranteed good time, especially for the bells! So looking for some insight into where you find good dj's, which clubs have the best crowds/atmosphere, if places are expensive but worth it etc
Any Info would be much appreciated! Cheers
New Years Eve will be the grand opening of Opium NYC, might want to check that out.. http://newyears.com/party.asp?id=2314
It's the best deal in town with $100 open bar all night long.

acutally atlanticwackcity dj the girls at mur mur are much much hotter. did you get turned down at the door at mur mur? cause thats what casbah needs a "DOOR POLICY". Since you arent familiar with hot girls i understand why u say the mur mur girls are average. the 5 times i been to mur mur i've seen nothing but trendy/gorgeous girls, casba has some hot girls but majority are beat. i will say that yes the only time i enjoyed casbah was new years and that was probly cause i was soo drunk that i didnt hear the music anymore!!!! what it comes down to, is that if you want a big club experience go to casbah. if you want a chill lounge like those here in nyc then go to mur mur. if u consinder casba's music true house music and the girls are the hottest there, then i truely do feel for you!!
well said
-
Mur Mur has the hottest girls in AC!
-
Yeah your mother really stinks the place up.
exactly, very well said.
-
the place smells on Saturday nights.. there are old, dirty, and homeless people there.
what's up with that?
-
Im new to AC, where is Mur Mur?
mur mur is at the borgata hotel
-
It's two different places--
Cashbah is more of a nightclub, where you dance and stuff, and don't spend much money (bottle service not necessary)
Mur.Mur is a really upscale place....you have to buy bottles, and spend a lot more $$
-
It's not a landmark, at least not yet. #2 is going to happen, once the landlord gets it back....
-
they can never open up again...

Club Deep
16 W 22nd St.
New York, NY 10010
(Between 5th and 6th)
Previously known as Ohm, Deep has all the designs that make it a modern 21st century club, which are so much the rage today. The venue was created by the same designers who gave us Lotus, B'Lo and Dorsia. Deep has a sister club in Miami and is definitely a party till the wee hours spot. This hot spot has a substantial bar and two humongous dance floors. Unique features include benches suspended by cables and expansive strobe lights that turn the place into a carnival to the eyes. The typical clientele is a chic Chelsea crowd, and a dress code of trendy and fashionable is enforced.

Pacha
618 W 46th St
New York, NY 10036
(Between 11th and the West Side Highway )
With over 25 mega-clubs, Pacha is known for killer DJ sets, a ridiculously gorgeous clientele, and the kind of hedonism that makes you wish you were single. There's a Pacha in Ibiza, one in Barcelona, branches in London, Madrid, and Munich. You name it. How big is Pacha? The brand has a frikkin' magazine, for God's sake. And now there's a Pacha in the U.S. With Resident DJ Erick Morillo (also a part-owner) leading the charge, Pacha delivers on an old school, dance 'til you drop hard-core clubbing experience. With four levels, plenty of VIP rooms, girls dancing in showers, and an all-star lineup of DJs, it has quickly become an anchor of New York nightlife.

Copacabana
560 West 34th Street
(Corner of 11th Avenue)
The Copacabana will make sure your after prom experience will be like no one else’s as it takes place beneath the swirling disco balls and glowing plastic palm trees of the vast Carmen Miranda Room. It’s there pro dancers rip it up next to novices just riding the beat. Downstairs, the smaller, darker Copa Room pumps hip-hop and dance. The 25,000 square feet of event space on three separate floors—each with its own private entrance, restrooms, coat check, bar, state-of-the-art sound, lighting and multimedia capabilities, plasma screens and gourmet kitchen also offers up its mainstay of live salsa and meringue bands for the hip-shaking, shoulder-rolling crowd and can accommodate 4,000 guests.
