The Housing Project, The A-Team, & Deep C present Community Sundaze Sunday December 7th, 2003 with musical guidance provided by: Olivier Desmet (Amenti, Tango, Moulton, Multitracked, AfterHours, Siesta) SF Born in Brussels, Belgium, Olivier Desmet began his career in the music business working as A&R and promotions manager for the Afterhours Music label in Chicago. During his stay in Chicago, Olivier began producing music under the guidance of respected Chicago artist Mazi (aka Audio Soul Project). Currently, Olivier lives and works in San Francisco where he manages Jay-J's Moulton Studios Recordings and Multitracked Recordings. Olivier also runs his own label Amenti Music, one of the most respected imprints in the business. Amenti continues to gain popularity thanks to stellar releases by artists such as Swirl Peepz, ECB, JT Donaldson, Inland Knights, and many others. Olivier has produced and remixed over 20 records for top labels such as Aroma Records ("A Dedication" by Oh Dee), Siesta Music ("Long Term EP", coming later this year), Amenti Music, and Tango Recordings. His productions have been favorites with top jocks such as DJ Heather (who played two of Olivier's productions on her recent Radio 1 Essential Mix), Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Raoul Belmans, and many others. Olivier currently records at Moulton Studios with production partner Chuck Diesel, and has also collaborated on projects with DJ Spettro and Ken from East Coast Boogiemen. A thirteen year veteran behind the decks, Olivier has played venues and events all over the world, such as the Sunday night "Devotion" party at the Endup in San Francisco, the celebrated FOOD club in Brussels, Belgium, and Tool Club in Seoul, Korea. along with resident DJs: The Housing Project feat. While doing so, his interest in producing started to grow, and so he decided to take the next step in his musical evolution: producing. In 1997, along with friends Miguel Mig's and Bruno Ybarra of Naked Music fame, he founded Transport Recordings. Now a well-established indie dance label with excellent underground dance music, the label has garnered a large and loyal following. Transport Recordings, headed by the duo of DJ MFR and Miguel Mig's, has been setting the standard for dance floor excellence for the past 5 years with some of the slickest house this side of the globe. His range is limitless - whether it’s peak time pumping hard house or sexy 2am vocal house, smoothed out with some hip-hop driven downtempo--you name it, he can do it!
