  1. I have tried to tell them before but they just never listened. Finally someone got through to them! I'll tell you it wasn't the doing of the management team AKA "Josh Sagman"...They have no idea what's in store for them!

hahah dude you crack me up.

you're exactly right. "they have no idea"... (in general) :)

  4. first ultra was on the beach with only about 8thousand people. rabbit in the moon and union jacks headlined. the second one was on the beach also had about 15thousand people, it was to damn packed. had sasha and digs, ritm to name a few on the mainstage. the event was all out of order they ran out of water and did not have no time schedule. third they moved to the amphitheater off of the beach. it was a total flop the place was pretty much empty. fourth one got back on track and its history ever since. dont know shit about the history of wmc. i started attending the first year of ultra. i was a vendor for two and three and the people that i dealt with are no longer with the organization. hope this helps a little.

man dont forget BUKEM was there. gr8 gr8 sets and Hybrid

  5. From the Ultra flyer:

"alcohol, bottles, cans, glass, backpacks, animals and sound systems are not to be brought onto the fesitval site"....."It is forbidden to bring any type of recording device, whether audio or visual, onto the festival site"

In years past some security guards allowed you to take bags and some didnt. Last year they were not allowing anything in.

    hope that helps

  7. Sasha's been using Traktor for a while now. I believe he's using it with Final Scratch, which is also the program that PVD runs. It uses encoded vinyl records but plays the sound off of the laptop. They encode to a ultra-high quality lossless codec and store the music on the laptop. Not only do they keep the benefits of touching vinyl on the turntable, but they have almost limitless music without lugging around records, they can never scratch the record, never skip a CD due to a scratch, and never warp a record. Plus they can capture and sequence samples together on the fly. Some people scoff at using digital media but they probably better get used to it because it is the future.

EDIT: ahhh, the site says he's using something new called MAVEN. Interesting, I'll have to look that up!

    Sasha uses Ableton Live.

PVD uses Final Scratch. 2 TOTALLY different ideas. PVD still mixes, while Sasha improvs.
