    Bling's Review of Migs and the Delano

    There is something special..... something magical per se about a pool party on south beach. Perhaps, it is a combination of the incredible locale, gorgeous women, incredible food... I do not know. What I do know is that parties and events like JoeBudicious' event tonite is what makes South Beach the mecca of nitelife that it is.

    As I walked in through the doors of the Delano and walked into the lobby i was truly taken aback. The wooden walls, the very posh restaruant right outside the back doors, the increcible pool adorned on the sides by palm trees. It truly is a high class environment.

    It was around 8 pm, and on the decks was the host of the party... soulful house rang throughout the pool area, infusing those around with a little bit of "dance fever". I bump into Sheldon as well as Lyrik. It was indeed stifling hot though, and Lyrik decided to head out to the Whitelaw, but not before telling me i was in for a treat with Miguel Migs.

    Speaking of Miguel Migs, I was able to speak to him for a short while. Very tall in stature, he does not really have that DJ look but rather someone from a rock band. Very nice guy.

    Around 10 he took the decks. I was able to enjoy this wonderful evening with some very cool CP people. Liz, IMIntellectual, Miriam, Dan (macboy) and Carlos (happy birthday once again). It was also great to see. Matik and his lovely girlfriend, as well as tony (thanks for the cd), Danny (digital7), Renzo, Buster and his camera crew...etc

    I want to thank Dan for being such a MENCH!! and buying that water for me, and driving me to my car later on. Macboy is as genuine as they come..

    Miguel Migs was absolotely amazing. truly a treat for the senses. He was all I expected and then some. He threw down some sexy latin tracks, a track that Frankie Knuckles played at Nerve, some real nice tribal. It was just amazing. true house music. My favorite kind of house. Everyone was having a great time. I was dancing like crazy, as was all us Cpers

    The evening was humid but the party was even hotter. Beautiful women everywhere. Hands down the hottest girls I have seen at any event.

    Carlos even told me. "Everyone here is probably a model" . Ironic words because not 10 min later I see a model that my company had hired for one of our trade shows. So when our little group broke off I went up to her and started to talk for a bit. She remembered me.. :) She looked incredible as always. Blonde shoulder length curly hair, small mini skirt dress, long sexy legs. WOW!!!!

    Around 12am Joe comes on and says the party will go on till 2am much to the delight of everyone in attendance. At around 1 Miguel got off the decks. I didnt even realize it because we were talkin off in the distance. But i remmber i said to eveyrone "wow the music kinda dropped a few notches, its not as good." I was shocked had Miguel Migs disappointed me? Not that the music was bad but not Migs quality. Then I look 10 min later to see that Migs was no longer spinning . LMAO !!!!! (no wonder)

    Around 130 myelf, Carlos, IMintellectual, Liz and Miriam go to the pool area and sit atop a bed thingy that they have scattered throughout the pool area.

    The pool is amazing, they had in the shallow end. A table inside the pool with a candelabra sitting atop. Very romantic...... :) After the ladies excused themselves, Carlos and Imintellectual start to mess around with a gigantic size chess board. When I left they were about to go play some pool inside, where.... YES u guessed it, more insanly beautiful women

    Incredible party Joe. best party i have been to not just this year but for as long as I remember. If only they had hotel pool parties like this every week . I would live at these events. I will def make it out to Marquees Wyatt at State on the 26th of June.

    Well I must agree with your review Bling, it was quite accurate... The Delano is truly one of my favorite places, from the ambiance to the people; there is something special about it. I’m amazed every time I walk through it, the tall ceilings and long white draperies hanging from the ceiling to the floor give it somewhat of a heavenly feel. As usual, the place is a pretty packed hangout for many Sobe goers, and if you have walked through it you would want to hang out there too. As Carlos and I walked outside, I noticed the extreme amount of humidity that I thought would kill me before the end of the night with the help of my extra thick long sleeve shirt that I shouldn’t have worn, but it was too late to go home and change so I dealt with it and welcomed the tsunami of sweat that my shirt helped bring.

    After we got in, I began to hear the beautiful sounds of Miguel Migs, who I have never heard of before until Carlos informed me about him a few days earlier and I must say, he is quite skilled, so if you get the opportunity to see him, don’t pass it up.

    Carlos and I met up with some CPers after that (pleasure meeting you all by the way). Now Im not sure, but I think the reason why it was so hot by the pool area was from all the model chicks that were there. I don’t think I can say that I have seen so many model chicks in a single gathering place ever before, I mean it was just outta hand, tens everywhere you looked. Just plain and simple…MODEL PUNANAY.

    At like 1:45 Carlos, Bling, and I headed over to the giant chess table (after Liz and Miriam abandoned us without saying goodbye) to attempt to play an exciting game of chess, but we were unable to succeed. Instead we went inside and were on our way out but saw this beautiful gigantuous pool table with gray felt and had to play at least one game on it. So Carlos and I tried to get in a quick game before we left. As we were waiting in line to play, we noticed 4 guys playing 8-ball, or so we thought. It turned out to be 3 guys and 1 really big HE-MAN, it was quite scary because she looked like she could kick all of our asses. The HE-MAN’s team won so we got to play them. Unfortunately, we lost because of Carlos, so thanks to Carlos I ended my night on a loss. All in all, I had a really good time and I hope Carlos enjoyed his B-day. :pint::pint::pint:

    well let me first apologize if I offended anyone because I left when Kaenow started. as far as the quality not quantity, i agree entirely. last, we didn't meet, but I told u ur set was great as I was leaving (if it helps, i was wearing a black long sleave shirt and jeans and I'm Michael by the way)

    That was pretty fucked up, but funny. I have faith in Carlos :itsok: , he wont let us down. He will be the Messiah of house. In fact he's is the one that crossed me over from all that party 93.1 trance garbage into real music (For all u trance ppl, please dont take offense to that). I got your back negro :gang: .

    But Domingo, u threw down some good shit man, much props to u :bowdown: .

    Anyhoo, on another note last night was fun. Great people. Great music. As far as the place (Seven) is concerned I've seen better but overall I had a really great time. I had the chance to meet some CPers which was a lot of fun. U all were real nice, so nice that it almost brought a tear 2 my eye :boohoo: j/p. No but 4 real, I had a really fun time and I hope 2 be at many other CP events.

    :party: (The funny thing about that smilie is that it looks like the same amount of people that were actually at the place last night)
