This is great news for me. I have Beltran on my fantasy team and he's going to a better team with a better line-up. I also have Brad Lidge on my team so when they traded Dotel, Lidge became the closer.... I'm happy

Whether they're good or not, they should be exciting. Harrington has got some weapons now so he has got to step it up this year. I think they'll be better but I still think they're a season or two away...

I think it will be a different kind of pressure now. Before it was a lot of internal pressure. Between him trying to justify his contract and dealing with not having his family around, pitching was his only outlet and he went out on the mound with a clouded mind and couldn't focus. While the fans & media have ripped him on occasion, for the most part he's been given a free pass. Now all the pressure will come from the fans & media. The biggest obstacle (so he says) for him to succeed has been removed. Now he has to take the ball and run with it.

You could tell that his family situation affected him on the mound. Most people have a family or friends to console them when they have a bad day. All he had were the 4 walls of his apartment. I would have to guess he'd be at least a little more comfortable on the mound now that his family is with him. That being said it's put up or shut up time for Contreras. Now he has to go out there and perform like he's capable of. There are no more excuses. He certainly has the kind of stuff needed to suceed so we'll see what happens...

Watch out for Carlos Beltran of the Royals. The guy hits over 300, slugs 30 hr's, 100 rbi's, and steals 30 every year. He's still just 26 and plays a great centerfield. He might not be in this elite category yet, but could be in a year or two...

I really didn't have a problem at the door myself, but it was very shady. That guy dressed as a nurse was getting bribed left & right to let people in who didn't have tickets. As a matter of fact there were people WITH tickets who even bribed the guy to let them in faster. I was patient because I got there early and knew it would be a while before Coxy got on... Eventually he just got sick of looking at me and let me in... Between Coxy & Morillo, I bet that nurse made a couple of g's easily... As for the crowd, it was kind of mixed. There were some jumping around having fun but there were others just standing there looking like that was the last place on Earth they wanted to be. I even got asked more than once who was spinning...

Typical amazing set by Coxy! Musically one of the best sets I've heard in a while. Didn't care much for the opener. Actually with the exception of Coxy it really was an annoying experience. The door was a nightmare. The crowd was kinda weak as well. Thanks to Coxy, I was still able to block all that out and still have a good time. Overall, this & Richie Hawtin's set @ Privledge were my favorite sets of the conference....
