  1. Smoke, Pay no mind to these ignorant, clueless think-they-know-about hip-hop people on this board. Please contact me, we do some projects in Connecticut sometimes. And I could point you to more worthy message boards to promote your music than this place. I check in from time to time now to get a good laugh. I learned my lesson with a past arguement that most of these people are so damn ignorant they think the quality of music depends on "where you're from" or you are most knowledgeable because they "listen to old-school". Seriously, please private message me. Or IM Yahoo: luemusic. OR e-mail pascale@legacyunlimited.us. Thank you. Pascale Legacy Unlimited Ent. legacyunlimited.us ***************.com
  2. IF Eminem was so great, why did you stop listening to hip-hop? So, you say Eminem is best rapper? That has nothing to do with what rules hip-hop. Eminem is not a businessman. And hip-hop is NOT just rapping. And if you want to talk about sales...Is Jay-Z or MC Hammer, for that matter, better than Eminem? They sold way more albums. And Eminem is just like, pardon my french, the Japanese. We all know they take things that are already exist and make it more "sophisticated". He's an offspring of the rap industry itself. If rapping didn't exist, would he rap? No, he had to hear others and decided he wanted to be better. And don't you get tired of hearing about his life? He's about to become extinct. That's why he wants you to know the name of his band!! Puff still rules hip-hop and does more for it than anyone. He's more well-known and is a veteran when it comes to Eminem. We're talking about Hip-Hop here, not rapping. P Diddy is Eminem and Dr. Dre and the labels they deal with, all wrapped up in one. As far as Nas and Jay-Z, I didn't fail to mention Nas. Nas just ain't here. Where is he? And where's his clothing company? And record label? And sold-out shows? Jay-Z is selling out the Garden, selling sneakers, selling apparel. I don't see no "Shady Limited" Clothing or whatever it's called. As for Russell Simmons, he stands for everyone in Hip-Hop, including Eminem. He did what he did with Pepsi and that whole Ludacris thing. Could and Would Eminem have done that? As for what he did to Jam Master Jay's fam...that doesn't affect his "rule" of hip-hop. In fact, there's nothing wrong with creating a college/mortgage fund. How do you know he didn't give up any money? And it costs money to even start a fund, so it's not like he didn't give. Dr. Dre - just like he found DOC, Snoop Dogg and any artist that he has put out there on the market is the reason why Eminem came to find Dre. Dre didn't go to find him. Dre made a name for himself waaaaay before Eminem existed and never fell off. That is a good rapper! KRS 1 - What is the temple of hip-hop? Doug E. Fresh...STILL the best show person in the industry. As for your last comment... Who the hell blasted TROY out of a boombox at anytime? Who the hell is TROY?? Is that short for something? And are you still listening to TROY cause you seem to have that name really fresh in your mind. As far as "our" history is concerned. We were there when hip-hop started and there was no TROY out in the jams in the parks that we were in. Uh, what about Charlie Chase, Grand Wizard Theodore, Flash and the Furious Five, Chinky Eyed Laylay. Do you know who that is? I know you don't. That is the 1st DJ to ever touch a turntable in hip-hop history. 179th st. and Mohegan...129 Mapes Pool. IS 67. The Fever (the club). That is the true essence of hip-hop. Where is started at. And there was no TROY...do your history. As for who rules hip-hop today...you don't even listen to it anymore, so how would you know Mr. TROY?
  3. lol...it's simple. KRS-One. The history. Puff, can put anyone out in the market and make a number 1 single. Jay-Z. Madison Sqaure Garden? Record Sales. Roc-a-fella. Clothing line. Beyonce!!!! lol. Dr.Dre Hit/Beat/Star Maker in the rap industry. Russell Simmons Power. Companies. Doug E. Fresh STILL doin' shows after how many years?? THE ABOVE ARE RULERS OF HIP-HOP. As for... Eminem. Fast Seller who would be no one without Dre. (Like his band) Came out in 1999 and is getting old already. Let's put it this way... you are a rapper. Black, White, whatever. Who would you go to first? Eminem or Dr. Dre. Eminem couldn't put out his own band, but Dre could and did. Bbbooom...I think you should chalk this one for a loss. PattBatemann...your statement is totally false. You have no clue what you are talking about. FunksOul...Did I answer you question. Who's next?
  4. Huh? Come again? "They" as in every single black rapper out there? The "White Rapper" doesn't rhyme better than they can. And the "White Rapper" knows it. There are far better rappers than Eminem. "They" have been ruling the rap genre for years because they created it. As far as I know, they still rule it. Eminem is under influence of Dr. Dre, remember??? Please people...KNOW your hip-hop history before you post such things!!! Please!!! KRS-One rules, Puff Rules, Jay Z rules. NOT one smart-ass white boy. Let's get that straight.
  5. I don't like it either. Boring! If you listen to or read the lyrics, it sounds like they are just trying to reallllly dis some chick. Like that's the sole purpose of the song. lol
  6. You seem too unintelligent for the statements you are making. You couldn't argue any of my points. How old are you? Do you know your history in African-American Studies and/or Hip-hop? Maybe it's your opinions that should be kept to yourself.
  7. hmmmm...not all rappers have this animosity that you are talking about. After all, thanks to the corporate old white men...they are where they are. And go to Africa? That's a harsh statement. I would explain further but don't have the energy right now. Maybe someone will. Or maybe I'll come back later and tell you about something that happened in the past called "slavery" which is the reason why the Blacks are now Americans, barely Africans. Should I even be responding to your ignorant thread? Hmm...oh well. I just did, might as well Submit it.
  8. what genre is it? House? Trance? Is it on the radio?
  9. Remember when MTV had "MTV amp" late at night. Much music had some techno videos too. How about now? Where can we find the big club song's videos now? Or even plain electronica videos? Anyone know?? NYC, here btw. Thanks Pascale
  10. curious....what's wrong with Roni Size? DOn't know all that much about him, but remember some tracks I used to like. Pascale
  11. When I see you, make me lose all control Like a fire burning deep in my soul, yeah And when I feel you it feels like I'm in heaven It goes on forever like a dime on a roll And when I hear you calling it's like heaven I'll wait here forever till I'm out of the cold, yeah And when I hear you calling I'm in heaven We'll be there together, no I won't be alone You're Welcome!! Pascale
  12. Alicia Keys, Big Boi of OutKast, Kanye West, Lil Jon and the Ying Yang Twins, Twista and Jadakiss have been confirmed to perform at HOT 97.1-FM's Summer Jam, which is slated for 7 p.m. June 12 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford. They recently added G-Unit, Ludacris and Chingy. (Will Chingy get booed??) - Pascale www.***************.com
  13. I think the problem is that Freestyle is so commercial where the type of people have no problem calling in and requesting "TKA" and "Lil' Suzy" and whoever's name we've heard for years now. That is KTU's major audience. As far as trance/techno tracks...they need to be requested!!!! Do you guys remember when Darude "Sandstorm" first came out on the radio??? Yeah it became worn out. Anyway...First we heard it in clubs or on outer-area radio stations. Then we heard it on LIR. Then we heard it on Z100 and KTU. So, if you hear a track that you know is bangin' in the UK or on Miami's Party 93.1 (Which you can hear via their website... www.party931.com) So, write letters, call in, tell your friends to do the same. The music they play is based on what their listeners want to hear. And if you want to hear that hot track you hear elsewhere, but wish it was here, REQUEST IT!!! I will now do that. I must admit, I haven't done it before. But this thread has made me think about it. Also, maybe they need to hear some complaints too. I will miss WLIR too. Let's put KTU where it should be. Real and UPDATED dance/electronic music. And not just on late late Sat. night. Pascale
  14. I know this is supposed to be about Clubs and stuff, but thought I might try to make a difference. Gas prices are rediculous and if we could change that, then pass this message on to those you know who drive. Thank you. Pascale ________________________________ IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES. AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES. THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR BEHIND" DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT. WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE OPEC NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO? REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"
