  1. Can't wait to hear JP in a classy NYC place for a change......

This may make some of you laugh, but all JP really wants, is to spin in a "classy" place. When I auditioned for the pink room in Black, he told me my music would have to be "impeccable", "because that's the vibe of the club". He even had Mexican's dressed in tuxedos escorting you into the bathrooms, and sweeping up after you in Black. His goal was to make it "classy". Back in '94 and '95 Jonathan Peters was the ultimate DJ with class--only spining in places such as Nell's, private parties on the SS Intrepid boat in nyc, Hollings nite club, Cafe Iguana, and most classy of all-- Tavern on the Green promoted by Leslie and Alexander- known for their affluent crowd. But people change, life changes, music changes, circumstances change. THOSE truly were the good old days--when the worst drugs Jonathan would do, was chain smoke philly blunts filled with chronic and shrooms, and maybe a hit of E. I know because I was there then. Drugs really do alter your perception, your reality, and permanently CHANGE you. At times, not for the best. The only thing that remains is that Jonathan Peters is a talented DJ who is able to affect people to the very core of them....

  2. ...i havent seen these slippers but i can tell you that they come in and out of style...this would mark the second time i can recall that they're "in" again....but i am an old fokker so there arent too many things i havent "seen" before - with regards to fashion at least...i'm just hoping hammer pants, cavariccis and cappezios never ever return....:)

LOL  So true, So true!!!

After the breif return of LEGWARMERS--anything is possible!!

  3. Im the first to say i have heard more bad sets then good. Much more. Shelbourn Miami is what made me become a fan and you can only live on past graces so long. Now that he doesn't have a home (Which i believe 100% happened because of opening night killing black with the rudeness) He lost many fans. I all the sudden see that hes spinning all over the fucken place. I don't think he is well known enough to draw in some of the areas he is going to and like i said he lost allot of his old fans and i don't believe is making any new ones. My advice if i was him i would find a small club to become resident at, Play for an after-hours crowd, and go back to DJ school or whatever DJ's do when they start loosing there edge.

Sorry but even if i am the fan of a DJs i will not hide my head in the sand about the truth

What brought this on all of a sudden??

  4. I just spoke to my husband who talks to JP all the time and produces in the studio. Whether or not this "Jacuzz story" is true, is irrelevant. The true fact of the matter is this...Black was not paying ANYONE who JP hired to make Black what it was or (wasnt, lol) esp. people who did the renovations of the club. Since JP stands behind his people (people like my husband who did ALL the electrical work in Black) and no one is getting PAID, this PISSED HIM OFF big time and so he left.....As JP once told me "everything boils down to dollars and cents".....for him
