hey djsolo, Does this DJ Duo (named Airloom Music) go by the DJ names of DJ AM and DJ Soul? They're scheduled to spin on: 21st Quo, NYC 23rd Spun, Spider Club, NYC 28th Quo, NYC 30th Spun, Spider Club, NYC I think I might have to try and fit them into my schedule! Aw, but shit, non of those clubs show up on the guestlists. Damn it. Man, I can't afford all this... Junior Jack & Kid Creme, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan, all these guys show up at clubs that don't show up on any guest lists. Any suggestions?

The other reason for this post (and my going club crazy) is to help me get back into the loop of DJ's out there today. Need to figure out which ones I like best. I can only tell you that my preference is Disco/filtered/Funk. I know that's not much to go by. I went and saw Bad Boy Bill w/ Steve Smooth and loved the shit they spun but it still wasn't "Disco-y" enough for my taste. Hope that's enough info to go by on what I'm looking for. I'll try google-ing those recomendations you mentioned though! Thanks man!

Thanks girl. I think I get it now! I'm a quarter Asain and I didn't take that as racist at all. I took it simply as the truth. My god. it was like they took over the whole venue. Did my cousin put an ad up in Craig'sList.com again? LOL Any how, i can see how the 'asain invasion distraction' made things uncomfortable for everyone. It was out of control! But it was my first time seeing Bad Boy Bill perform and I thought he was absolutely superb. However, i've never seen any of his past performances that I could compare too like you can oldtimer. HA! yeah man, even I had a hard time keeping my eyes off of her. Did you notice that her fan broke during the set. I thought she was going to pass out!

Holy shit luztidara! I'm listening to oldtimer from now on! He knows how to recommend them! Avalon was the best FUCKIN' experience last night! (no pun intended) Damn girl! Yeah, you're also right about... LOL! So I ended up sitting behind the booth the whole time. Everyone there was groovin' hard too but not taking up everyone’s space. Know what I mean? I came alone because I didn’t know anybody and I’m a collab artist so I needed to be there to do my homework, ya know? Having said that, I couldn’t get hooked up with any party supplies, but who needed to that night?!?!? Riiiight? Hey everyone, I only deal with electronic producers who don’t do any DJ-ing so I got a dumb question… could someone educate me on the whole "residency" or "monthly resident" thing. I'm getting mixed definitions. When a doctor is 'working' on their residency, that's like internship or earning your right to 'practice' medicine, etc. So I apologies, I'm a little confused on what that means to a DJ. Could everyone leave their interpretation here? Thanks!

Well, popped over to Ikon last light before moving on to other clubs and it wasn't so hot at the time. A very latin night, my taste but too much 'tude. Ended up at Crobar and I gotta tell ya, didn't have a great time. I tried to mind my own business but still ended up with some tipsy cute guy tagging me around the whole time. (was that you oldtimer? heh heh) The music was great but I ended up leaving unfulfilled... I'm hoping tonight will be better because, well... ok oldtimer, you've done it again. I'm going to Avalon tonight and I'm gonna check out Bad Boy Bill. I'm really into Disco-y electronic. I can't wait! Thanks man!

I got there a little too early I think so I'll try to be fair by mentioning that however, there was a little too much 'tude for so after 20 minutes, I had to go. Ended up at Crobar and had a pretty good time, but I didn't want to dance with anybody, and eventually had a pretty tipsy cute guy make the moves on me when I was just trying to mind my own business. Guess I was at the wrong place at the time to be doing that. I loved the music. It rocked me nice in the main room. But I'm really looking foward to tonight at Avalon. I lean more on the disco-y type of electronic and I hear Bad Boy Bill will be there.

You guys are so cray-zay! Friday night is my night and my dears, i just can't decide. i've got myself on the avalon vip list and on crobar and ikon's guest list. I'm leaning hard on the crobar side... desicions, desicions... I ain't dressin' up or anything, I just wanna go dance, sweat n' fly!

My expirience at IKON was everything and a bit more than I expected. I was all over that place like brown on rice yo! The place took me away from everything human! It was... in-human!?!? Max Graham and Grey Area (live pa) put my body into a frenzy! I couldn't stop! I still think I need to check out Avalon and Shelter and on thier 'free' nights. I'll wait till I see a post up on those places that have some great TRANCE/HOUSE/(FILTERED DISCO?) DJ's appearing there as well. Thanks again everyone. This forum rocks!
