YARN MASK - Playing ORIGINAL Psychedelic Pre-Punk Garage Rock. The Yarn Mask sound has been compared to the likes of The Pagans & Television, with influences that include Guided By Voices & The 13th Floor Elevators. Yarn Mask - "Sprout a Farm" Williamsburg Arts presents ongoing installments of Gary Fury's long running MOD/GARAGE/PUNK/NEW WAVE music night ROCK N ROLL MYSTERY DANCE!. RNRMD was developed at the now defunct East village venue CONEY ISLAND HIGH back in 1999 as THE POP ART EXPERIMENTAL PARTY and has been running under one name or another ever since appearing in numerous well known NYC venues such as CBGB's, Knitting Factory Old Office and Sine. The night features an assortment of handpicked live bands, guest DJ's, a mind altering psychedelic light show and a house garage band headed by host Gary Fury who has backed living 60's garage legends Question Mark(Question Mark and The Mysterians)and The Third Bardo. The Rock N Roll Mystery Band finish off the evening with a blistering set of garage punk, psychedelia and broken blues. ROCK N ROLL MYSTERY DANCE is a place where you can often find exciting new bands before they break on the scene and other fine bands who've already proven their worth in NYC and want to play a show that caters to their own musical sensibilties.
